The Adventure Kids go to Far Far Away

Chapter 9

The gang was so distracted by what just happened, Prince Charming got away. They all came over to the suit of armor that belonged to Harold, believing he was gone now. 

"Oh, Dad!" Fiona started crying, while everyone thought that King Harold was dead. 

"Is he?..." Chelsea asked, standing besides the rest of the chickens but hesitated to say another word. 

"Aye" Mac frowned. 

Everyone then heard a croak. 

"What was that?" Babs asked. 

"He croaked..." Rainbow Dash frowned, thinking the king was dead. 

A frog then came out from the suit of armor. 

"Harold?" Queen Lillian asked. 

"Dad?" Fiona asked. 

"What in the?!-" the rest of the gang all thought to themselves, quite surprised. 

Harold sighed, feeling embarrassed. "I'd hoped you'd never see me like this"

"And he gave you a hard time" Donkey, Nobby and the twins all said to Shrek with a scoff. 

"Donkey! Nobby! Guys!" Shrek, Ginger and Kali all glared towards them. 

"No, no, they're right. I'm sorry" Harold apologized before looking to Shrek and Fiona. "To both of you. I only wanted what was best for Fiona. But I can see now... she already has it"

"Shrek, Fiona... Will you accept an old frog's apologies... and my blessing?"

The adventure still frowned a little though, wondering what would happen to the frog king now. 

"Harold?" Lillian looked to her husband. 

"I'm sorry, Lillian. I just wish I could be the man you deserve" Harold sighed sadly before he was about to hop off in shame, but was caught in Lillian's hands. 

"You're more that man today than you ever were," she smiled as she held him up in her hands. "Warts and all"

Harold croaked again, smiling to his wife while the gang also smiled, being happy that everything worked out. Well, almost everything...

The clock then began to chime. 

"Shrek! It's midnight!" David realized. 

"The Happily Ever After Potion!" Rocky alerted him. 

Shrek quickly turned to his wife. "Fiona. Is this what you want? To be this way?"

"What?" Fiona asked Shrek. 

"Because if you kiss me now... we can stay like this forever" Shrek told her. 

"You'd do that... for me?" Fiona asked, feeling touched. 

"Yes" Shrek smiled sincerely. 

The gang smiled to Shrek and Fiona, waiting for the former ogre princess to make her decision.  

"I want what any princess wants. To live happily ever after..." Fiona started. 

Shrek was about to kiss her, but she stopped him. 

"With the ogre I married" Fiona finished. 

The gang smiled to that, some even felt like crying. The clock soon struck midnight and with that, Shrek and Fiona were lifted up into the air by a magic light. Donkey and Nobby were also lifted up into the air as they started to change back. 

A bright light soon flashed around the four. 

"Whoa!" everyone awed in amazement. 

While this was happening, the gang looked up as two alicorn princesses were seen flying through the sky over the castle. Along with a little purple dragon on the blue one's back. 

Shrek and Fiona both turned back into ogres and hugged while Donkey and Nobby were turned back into a donkey and rooster again. 

Ginger and Rocky shared a kiss, being very satisfied and proud to see Shrek and Fiona so happy as this was another mission accomplished. 

Donkey and Nobby however were both sad, missing being a horse and flying eagle. 

Ginger came over to comfort her little brother and gave him his green sock hat which he put back on. "Hey, you're still a mighty eagle to me" she smiled to him. 

"That's right!" Rocky said, coming up and ruffled Nobby's feathers on top of his head. 

Nobby smiled a little, happy that he had such a great family. Then, something unexpected happened... Nobby was flying!

"I'm flying! I'm flying!" Nobby exclaimed. He couldn't believe it as he began flying around his friends. "Guys, look at me! Ginger, can you see me? I'm flying!"

"See, I told you you could do it, little brother" Ginger smiled up at her little brother. 

Nobby smiled back at his sister as he came back down over to her and the others, hugging her. 

"Well..." the gang then heard a familiar voice and turned around. 

"It seems like we've made it at the perfect time" Princess Celestia smiled as she had arrived. 

"Indeed, sister" Luna agreed, as they walked up to the adventure kids. 

"Princess Celestia. Princess Luna" the adventure kids and mane six were surprised to see the two alicorn princess and bowed respectively to them. 

The crowd was amazed to see two alicorn princesses. Spike hopped off of Luna's back and ran over to Twilight, hugging her as the little dragon was so relieved to see her again. 

"We see you've had quite the adventure" Celestia mentioned, referring to the ponies and adventure kids' adventure with Shrek and Donkey. 

"Yes," Luna admitted, but then announced to the mane six. "But now it's time to go home"

The ponies and kids frowned as they hugged each other goodbye, until next time. Shrek and Fiona smirked to each other before sharing another kiss, as this was another happy ending. 

Well, not quite yet...

"Hey, you know what this calls for?..." Pinkie Pie asked the gang. "A party!" 

"Heck yeah!" Brock and David shouted out. 

Puss and Donkey soon started singing a familiar song with some of the others while the rest of the gang all danced and were partying, having a fun time. 

David got a chance to dance with Cynthia. Albert even danced at the party with his family until they left, along with Emily, Chelsea and the ponies.
