The Adventure Kids go to Far Far Away

Chapter 10

Not long after the ponies had left and the party was over, Donkey was alone on stage feeling sad because he missed someone. 

Soon, everyone heard a familiar roar. 

"Anyone else hear that?" David asked the gang. 

"Hear what?" the chickens asked, looking around. 

Donkey looked up and spotted what it was, or should we say 'who' as Donkey shouted out in joy. "Hey, baby! Hey, that's my girl!"

It was Dragon. The gang all waved to her as she smiled and flew down, landing in front of Donkey. The odd couple soon made up from their quarrel earlier and Dragon had a special surprise for Donkey. 

Just then, a flock of baby donkey-dragon hybrids came flying over. Donkey screamed a bit in surprise as the dronkeys tackled him, but was soon overjoyed that he was a father. 

"Aw, they're so cute!" Ann cooed at the baby dronkeys. 

"Ulgh" Cynthia muttered, finding the dronkey hybrids weird looking. 

"Look at our little mutant babies!" Donkey smiled in joy. 

The chickens were a little bit freaked out at first of the donkey-dragon hybrids. 

"Do they have names?" Teeders asked. 

"Of course" Dragon said, then introduced everyone to her babies. "This is Debbie, Coco, Peanut, Parfait, Eclair, and Bananas"

Donkey then realized something, looking a bit nervous. "I got to get a job" 

The adventure kids laughed to that, before noticing Kali's crystal glowing, knowing what that meant for them. 

"Well guys, looks like it's time for us to go" Kali told the gang. 

"Aw! Do you have to?" Donkey pouted to his friends. 

"Yeah! Do we have to?" the twins whined to their sister. 

"Are you sure?" Shrek and Fiona came up asking the adventure kids, sad to see their friends leave.  

"I'm afraid so" Teeders admitted with a slight frown. 

"But don't worry" Kali assured the ogre couple. "We'll be back soon"

"Yeah, once you become king" David mentioned to Shrek. 

Shrek looked shocked and surprised, before he gulped slightly and asked the boy. "K-King?..."

"Well sure," David said. "I mean when you think about, once King Harold gets sick or something and croaks he'll need someone to replace him and he's obviously going to choose you, and-"

"I need you to shut up!" Cynthia told David, giving him this threatening look. 

"Okay..." David squeaked, looking scared now. 

Shrek and Fiona smiled to that, then waved goodbye as the gang gathered around and held each others hands. 

With a flash from the magic crystal, they were sent back home. 

They ended up back in the Harpercop siblings's living room as not too much time had passed, except that it was night time. 

"Well, I don't know about you guys, but I'm outta here!" Cynthia said leaving the house, not wanting to deal with anymore adventures for awhile. 

"This will be great for my memoir" Kali eagerly took out her adventure book to write down the gang's second experience they had with Shrek. And of course, Brock always had the pictures taken and items collected on that adventure just like all the others. 

The Harpercop's adopted siblings, Yakko, Wakko and Dot soon zipped into the room, coming up to Kali. 

"So, how was it!" Yakko asked the tomboy first about the adventure, getting all up in her face. "Were there dragons? Were their ghost? Were there evil elves that live in those trees to make cookies and shoot laser beams out of their eyes? You got to tell us everything!" 

"Tell us! Tell us! TELL US!" Wakko and Dot joined in with Yakko, trying to annoy their sister on purpose. 

Kali just ignored them for the moment though as she had just gotten a text. 

"It's from Hira and Hiroko" she told the gang. 

"What did they say?" Ann asked her older sister curiously. 

"They want to invite me to go to the Muppet Studio with them to meet the Muppets" Kali explained while reading the text message. 

"Ooh, can I come?" Teeders asked her best friend. 

"Us too, please!" the twins begged their sister. 

The adventure girl thought for a second and soon sighed, giving in. "Oh, alright"

Minutes later, the chickens were heading outside to their hut for bed. 

"Such a lovely holiday" Babs commented while knitting, referring to the fun adventure they had with Shrek. 

"See you guys in the morning" Kali called from the back door. 

"Goodnight, Kali" Ginger smiled to her human companion before joining her family inside the hut. 

"And so, thus concludes yet another great adventure for our heroes" The narrator narrated, but was suddenly interrupted by Brock. 

"Who says it's over?" the younger adventure boy asked, before turning to the readers and winked at them.
