Early the next morning, while the gang was still tired, Shrek had asked Kali and some of the gang to come along with him and Donkey and help support him on attempting to bond with King Harold. Ginger, Rocky, and Nobby obviously went with Kali and the gang of teens. While Babs, the other chickens, and the ponies stayed behind back at the castle.

Shrek then took the gang out and explained what happened last night between him and Harold. From what King Harold told them was to meet him by the old oak tree. It was nice for the gang to all be back together, going on an adventure since the first time they met Shrek. But after walking through the forest for awhile, the gang was sure they had completely lost their way.

"Face it guys, we're lost!" Shrek complained.

"Nonsense! I have a keen sense for directions" David boasted proudly while smiling.

"Since when?" Teeders asked.

"Since now" David smirked, resulting in Teeders groaning and roll her eyes.

"Well it can't be worse than the time we got lost in the wilderness with Shadow, Chance, and Sassy" Rocky mentioned to Ginger and she nodded, remembering that perilous journey well.

"We can't be lost. We followed the King's instructions exactly" Donkey told the gang.

"He's right" Ann spoke up. "Head to the deepest, darkest part of the woods".

"Past the sinister trees with scaring looking branches" Brock added what was next on the map.

"Ooh, and there's that creepy looking bush shaped like Shirley Bassey" Nobby pointed out.

"We passed that bush three times already!" Cynthia groaned in irritation.

"Hey, Shrek was the one who didn't wanna stop and ask for directions" The twins reminded.

"Oh great" Shrek groaned in a bit of anger. "My one chance to fix things up with Fiona's dad, and I end up lost in the woods with Donkey and all of you!". Shrek mainly glared at Donkey.

"Alright, you don't have to get huffy, we're only trying to help" Donkey said to the ogre.

"I know! I know" Shrek said, before taking a deep breath in order to calm down. "I'm sorry, alright" the ogre apologized to his friends.

"It's okay" Kali and Ginger smiled to Shrek.

"Don't worry about it" Donkey forgave his best friend.

"Yeah" Nobby added, while also smiling to the ogre.

"I just really need to make things work with this guy" Shrek told his friends about getting along with King Harold.

"Yeah we know, and that's why we're here to help you out" Teeders told Shrek. Shrek smiled to her, glad to hear that.

The gang continued walking through the forest together, when strangely they started hearing loud purring.

"Well, well, well, Donkey" Shrek turned to his quadruped best friend. "I know it was a tender moment back there, but the purring?".

"What are you talking about? I ain't purring" Donkey replied.

"Ginger? Rocky?" Kali turned to her chickens.

"Hey Kali, chickens don't purr" Ginger and Rocky both replied, thinking it was weird how Kali thought it was them.

"Unless we're in the mood" Nobby said, admitting chickens could be weird sometimes.

"What's next, a hug?" Shrek asked in a bit of a teasing tone.
