The Missing Weasley: The Triplet

The Halloween Prank

Four, George, and Fred had been at Hogwarts for a few months now. They were known as the pranking trio, when it was time to prank they were all ready and excited. They had been in detention with McGonagall more times than they would care to admit, scratch that, they were proud. Only in first year they had broken the school record for detentions in a school year. They had beat a good record of 56 by SB and JP as written in the detention book.

Tonight was Halloween night and pranks were going to go down during the dinner. George and Fred were in the kitchens spiking the punch with bird call potions. The kind house elves were used to them being in the kitchens and even helped them put the potions into the punch.

Four was in the Great Hall, handing out 'candy' that would make your nose turn into a beak. She was under the alias of a brown haired, brown eyed Hufflepuff second year boy. They had figured out where the laundry room was and sneaked boys and girls clothes for all the houses.

Lee was making loud crashes and explosions from their dorm room so it seemed they were in it. The other boy in their dorm decided to transfer out once he realized what he was in for. He was not sleeping with the second years.

Halloween dinner was in twenty minutes so the trio went to their dorm and saw Lee jumping on a bed banging empty candy tins together.

"Lee, that sounds nothing like us" Four says, then raising her voice "We are ten times louder"

They got dressed up in their robes and started walking down to the Great Hall. They walked to the table of the lions and took a seat near the back of the hall for their escape if need be.

Dumbledore begins his great, long, boring speech talking about no pranking, or causing trouble. His wise blue eyes flickered over to the pranking trio. Four had her hair a Weasley red for the occasion. At the end of Dumbledore's speech he said, 'Oddment, Goggle, Tweet' and the food and the potion spiked punch appeared.

Looking around the trio noticed a few people had grown beaks during Dumbledore's speech, probably eating out of boredom. Many people took the punch and began drinking some, then chaos began. Students and staff begin squawking like birds and everyone began trying to talk, but making bird noises instead.

The sound of an explosion started and everyone looked up and saw fire forming two W's and one 4. Their pranking signature, they did not mind being caught. Filch came from behind them as they were sneaking out of the rear of the Great Hall and brought them down to his office.

Filch got the name of the potion they used out of them and went to the dungeons to tell Professor Snape so he could procure an antidote. In Filch's absence George saw a drawer labeled 'Dark and Dangerous' and opened it using a muggle trick, a bobby pin. He opened the drawer and pulled out a blank piece of parchment, he was about to put it back but then heard Filch's footsteps, he shoved it into his robe pocket. They all received a week of detentions with their head of house, Professor McGonagall and note home to Mrs. Weasley, saying this had really gotten out of control. The twins were terrified, but Four was not, who were they going to owl, Dumbledore. He would probably pat her on the back and congratulate her. Okay maybe not that, but he would not be mad.

When they returned to the Gryffindor tower people were glaring at them not talking because they would still sound like birds. On their way up they saw a few Ravenclaws using sign language. They started playing some heavy metal from their dorm. The second years started trying to yell at them for their music as always but only bird calls were heard.

The next morning the trio walks to the Great Hall and begins breakfast, still receiving glares from their housemates and the whole hall. Four had just flung some oatmeal onto George's face when a red envelope arrives at their section of the table. Fred and George slowly begin backing away, but Four reaches forward to open it.

"Hey it has all of our names on it, even mine" Four tells the boys.

The red envelope suddenly explodes.

"FRED AND GEORGE. I AM ASHAMED OF BOTH OF YOU. NONE OF YOUR SIBLINGS HAVE CAUSED THIS MUCH TROUBLE. GETTING A LETTER FROM THE DEPUTY HEADMISTRESS, BRINGS SHAME. I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK, DREAD CHRISTMAS BREAK. Four of course I am not too mad at you, they have probably conned you into this. Bye. Wait Four you are coming to our home for Christmas break"

After the howler burns into ashes George and Fred turn to Four and say perfectly In sync "She thinks you are innocent"

Four shifts her appearance into a five year old with brown hair and says "Am I innocent now" in an angelic voice.
