You might not believe me, but when someone goes missing, life can go on normally. At least, for about a day. Until, of course, others start to go too, and the group just gets smaller and smaller... Sorry for rambling. I'm here to tell a story, right? Oh yeah. I'm here to tell you what went down from my point of view. Hey, I'm Samus, and this is a story about someone we all thought was dead.
The day started off normally enough, with everyone going about their morning routines and stuff like that. Meanwhile, I was trying to get my mop of blonde hair into order, and meet up with my friend Ike to train for an upcoming match. I was just getting my hair into it's normal ponytail when a harsh knock on my door sounded. "Hey! Ms. Beauty queen! You gonna be out anytime soon?"
"Yeah, Ike, just... Give me a minute." Finally getting the hair elastic around the mass of blonde, I shoved on my boots quickly and grabbed my pistol, hoping I didn't look like a sewer rat. When I opened my door, I saw that Ike was his usual, cheery self. Messy blue hair with a green bandanna tied in it, blue eyes sparkling with humor, clothes and leather armor, the works. He was slightly taller than me, which I found annoying, as he enjoyed teasing me. "Took you long enough." He remarked as I closed the door behind me. Rolling my eyes and socking him playfully on the shoulder, we started to walk down the hall but were stopped by Zelda and Mario. "Greetings, Ike and Samus," The Hylian princess said rather distractedly. Worry was alight in her forest green eyes, brown hair undone for once. Mario nodded his greetings and smiled, looking chipper as usual. "Have either of you seen Master Hand? He's normally setting up matches for tomorrow by now, and he wasn't in the control room." Ike and I exchanged glances before replying, both of us probably wondering the same thing. "Sorry Zelda, but we haven't seen him." I replied. The princess, hearing this, looked even more troubled. She shook her head and walked on with Mario trailing behind her, leaving Ike and I to wonder. "Does this mean we don't have to train?" The mercenary said, with dread edging his voice. "Yeah, I guess."
"He can't be missing."
"I mean, he might be. He does tend to disappear randomly, but normally not without setting up matches..." I mused. Ike quirked an eyebrow, but his thoughts seemed to be cut short by the rumbling of his stomach. "Hey, I'm hungry... Wanna head down to the kitchens and grab a bite to eat instead?"
"Sure." As we walked, I couldn't help but wonder what exactly was going on. Then, as we were passing by a training room, we heard someone shriek. "Help!" Both of us whirled around and went inside quickly, to find Pit, kneeling over Lucario's trophy. However, both Ike and I could tell that something was off with the trophy. Instead of being slightly colored with a golden base, it was now a steely grey color. Pit kept tapping the base, but nothing was happening. "I don't know what happened! We were sparring and then-"
"Pit, calm down." Ike placed a hand on the hyperventilating angel's shoulder, staring down at the lifeless trophy. "Try to tell us exactly what happened, step by step. It wasn't your fault."
"Luc and I were sparring, because, you know, even with Master Hand being gone, I should be kept up on my skills." So it's known throughout the manor, I thought. "I kicked them, and they went flying, and the next thing I know they're a trophy! I've tapped the base a ton, but they aren't coming back!" He wailed desperately. Ignoring the growling of his stomach, Ike knelt down beside the trophy and tapped the base. Nothing happened. He tried again, but the same result occurred. "Oh no... I'm sorry, Lucario..." Pit whimpered. Ike ruffled the angel's hair and smiled, despite the uneasiness in his eyes. "We'll figure this out, Pit. We'll tell Zelda and see if there's anything she can do, then we'll grab a bite to eat. How's that sound?"
"Okay.." Keeping him in between the two of us, we walked for a little while before coming across Zelda and Mario once again. "Ike, Samus, I can't spar right now. Hello, Pit."
