For once, we got to relax. Palutena had provided beds and wash basins, even if we had to rely on curtains for privacy, and I'll admit, this was the cleanest I had felt in a week. Since my Zero Suit was pretty much totaled, Palutena had given me a white linen dress to wear while we stitched it up. It wasn't my normal style, but it was comfy, thankfully. As soon as I was dressed, though, I felt eyes on my spine and turned around to see Pit staring at me, a wide smile on his face. "Samus! You look amazing!" He gasped. "I never knew you'd look so pretty in a Skyworld dress!"

"Thanks. It isn't my normal style, but, I mean, I'll take what I can get." I whirled myself around in the shimmering white fabric, letting the wind catch and flicker through it. "It is really pretty." The angel danced on his tiptoes, leaving a few white feathers to float to the floor. "I'm so happy you think so! Maybe after everything is over with, we can come back and see a show with the Muses!" He seemed eager to share the culture with me, and that made me smile. "Sounds like a plan, my man." Then, Zelda walked over, dampening the mood some but not fully. "Hey, Zelda. What did Palutena say?"

"She told me her and Dark Pit would be happy to assist, but... They have to do something first."

"Like what?" Pit asked, raising an eyebrow. Zelda took a deep breath, almost like she was bracing for someone to yell. "They told me that an ally has recently complained about some sort of force draining the life energy from the nature. It was a nature goddess-"

"Viridi!" Pit cried out, cutting off the rest of Zelda's statement. The Hylian princess seemed to cringe in response, almost like she was expecting to be cut off there. "If this goes on for any longer, she might throw a tantrum... We don't want that. That'd be bad." The angel seemed to become weary at the mere mention of this, but I had a question. "What would happen if we didn't help?" I cut in, watching as Pit's expression changed to one of worry. "Reset Bombs.... Or something like that. Either way, we really want Viridi on our side, so why not help her out? She's helped me out of a jam before." Pit looked a little reluctant to be saying that, but I decided to pay it no mind and nodded. "Zelda, tell Palutena that the rest of us will-"

"She said that it wasn't necessary, and that we should get some rest. Pit, though... You'll have to go along."

"Aw, maaan!" Pit visibly sagged while saying this, wings drooping with a few feathers falling again. "Why am I always the one to do this kind of thing?" I felt a little sympathy for Pit, but overall, we did need this ally despite is protests. I hate to sound heartless, but it was necessary. "Well, you should get a move on then. Get geared up and all that." I said after a moment, ruffling his hair as a little bit of comfort. He ducked a little under my hand, but smiled up at me, making me smile too. "Okay. I'll do this for everyone!" And, as he ran off, I noticed Zelda walk more towards me with a worried look on her face despite Pit's enthusiasm. "Samus..." She began, not seeming sure how to phrase what she was about to say. "I can't help but have a feeling that this is connected to that ambush, and the trophies. If this really is connected like I think it is, we could be dealing with something huge. Something even bigger than just Master Hand being gone and our friends being stone- We could be dealing with the very balance of the universes." Just hearing that made my throat close up, and every muscle in my body tense. I didn't want to deal with that kind of thing- that was Zelda, Pit and Kirby's domain. I was used to dealing with galaxies, sure, but not just one universe, ALL of them? No way. I had to take a breath to steel myself against that revelation, making a fist as if I was holding something tightly. Off the bat I had known that this would be no walk in the park, but something that major? My thoughts were interrupted when Dark Pit made his way over, face steely as always. "So where'd he run off to, to help Viridi?"

"Yeah. What about it?" I responded with a little bit of a bite, but only really because I was stressed. He looked a little surprised a moment, pitting up a hand and huffing. "Hey, calm down. So, tell me what's going on with everything. From the beginning. I need to know exactly what's happening if I'm gonna help." As Zelda and I alternated between explaining, My eyes scanned around the temple as I looked for Ike and Toon, wherever they were. Of course, the two were passed out in beds, snoring the day away. I smiled a little seeing just how exhausted they were, but my smile was interrupted by Dark. "What're you smiling about? Is something about this whole thing pleasant to you?"

"No, actually. Just... Got a memory." The angel looked a little skeptical, but he nodded anyway, then turned back to Zelda. "So this dude just ran off, then he came back a day later.. and he was apparently getting controlled?"

"Yes. Samus and Ike were planning to keep him with us apparently, but he flew off as they were talking."

"How do you know they didn't let him go?" That comment kind of frustrated me, so I decided to defend myself. "Because we didn't. We wanted to help him but he ran away." I'll admit, I was a bit snippy. His eyes widened a moment, but afterwards, he looked a little offended. "Alright, alright, geez. Just a thought. Anyway... So you guys found the portals afterwards, and you were ambushed?"

"Yes. Though, at the end of the scuffle, there was a larger fire monster, but Meta Knight chased it away. We have no idea what his motive was in doing that, but he might actually be on our side." Being honest, that's what I wanted to believe. But, as of right now, he was working for our enemy. Shaking those thoughts from my head, I was shocked when I heard Pit skid into the room. "GUYS! IT WAS THE THINGYS!" He looked a little scratched and bruised, but at least he wasn't dirty. We'd have to wash his tunic again if he was, and I had had enough of washing things for the time being. "THEY WERE THE ONES SAPPING THE LIFE!" Zelda rushed towards the panicking angel, placing a hand on his shoulder and guiding him to sit down. "Pit, calm down. Tell us what happened when you can, but for now, I'll ask Palutena to make you some tea." He sat down on a step near the entrance with a sigh, looking extremely shaken up by the experience. "Hey kiddo," I said calmly, like Zelda's theory didn't just get proven correct. My heart was pounding like a monster against a door, but I took a breath to soothe myself and focused on Pit. But, my mind kept repeating, This is bad. This is really, really bad. I don't often, if at all, admit this, but I was scared out of my shorts.

And what Pit said next just about blew my mind.

HAHAHA! Cliffhangered! I am SO sorry about how long this took. Writer's block kept kicking me in the teeth, and when I finally got an idea, not only was it for the ending, but I had just about no motivation to write. So, yeah! I'm alive once more! And be expecting more on this now that I have ideas!
