A/n- After major events with different characters, I'll probably do these special chapters with events from their points of view. You can skip over them if you want, but they will hold important story elements, so keep that in mind. I will try and make one for every main character, and since all that just happened, it is only fair that we get a little bit of an explanation. Enjoy!
How dare you judge me? Do you know how scared I was, when all of this was happening? I was afraid that this would happen to someone I loved. And it did. It took a while, but it still happened. When I looked back, the first I saw was the disappointment in Samus' eyes, the pure grief in Ike's.
And it destroyed me.
As soon as I knew I was out of sight, I knew I couldn't hold back the tears for much longer. The silver of my eyes had probably given everything away to them, and I regretted leaving. I regretted it so badly, but as I flew on, I knew there was no going back. My temper had just cost me greatly. Not only had I lost my son to this blight, but I had lost friends too. The night sky was so brilliantly clear, stars sparkling like gems amongst the inky blue. My wings pounded the air until I caught an updraft, which allowed me to glide without much more labor. I held the cold trophy in my arms as I flipped onto my back, wondering why this had to happen. Why did it have to take him from me? Why had it come to this? Yet, even as I wracked my mind, I couldn't find the answer. And that made me angrier and sadder than anything. I closed my eyes and tried to breathe, but that only made it worse as my breath hitched in my throat. Yet, when I opened them again, I could see that I was not where I was supposed to be. Instead of opening my eyes to a star-smattered sky, I opened them to a pure darkness. Something was definitely wrong here. The air of this strange place felt cold and evil, sending a shudder down my spine. I had felt this aura before, and it brought back memories. Shaking those thoughts off, I beat my wings once to pick up speed, but I seemed to be going nowhere, though I could feel the air rushing by. Then, startling me out of my skin and almost making me drop Kirby's trophy, I heard a hissing voice. "You come seeking answers, do you not, Knight?" I recognized this voice all too well. It made my body go cold.
I was back in HIS hands.
"Where are you?! Show yourself!" I threatened into the air, trying to keep my voice from breaking. "That is not needed. You know who I am. I come to you with.... A proposition. It has been I, in league with others, who has been causing this. The battlers who were frozen, they are still alive. But, they will not be for long unless you cooperate. I can turn their trophies to ash this second, including the one you hold in your hands." Kirby! "You monster!" I screamed into the air once again. "I'll tear you-"
WHACK!
One minute, I was in flight, and the next, I was plummeting down. I was stupid, thinking for a moment that he had forgotten my weaknesses. He had hit the exact spot on my back that would make my wings crumble, whether I was in flight or not. Soon, I had hit ground that I didn't even know was there, knocking the wind from me and crumbling any amount of fight that I had left. "Did I teach you anything? You will listen while I am speaking, and you will not interrupt me. Understood?"
"Y- Yes..." I could barely gasp. Tears leaked from my eyes, and once again, I was very grateful for my mask. He couldn't see my weakness like he used to be able to. "Now, get up. I have to talk to you, and I won't do it while you're lying on the ground like a fool." I had no choice but to pull myself back onto my feet, and with the pain in my back and wings, it was nearly impossible. "I can give you back that child. But, I have a task for you in exchange." At this point, I was desperate for him back. To see his smile, hear his laughter again- It was tantalizingly close. "Before I let you know of this task, you must promise me you will complete it in full. If you don't agree, that's fine. You'll just have to say goodbye to the child." I knew this was a trap. But... I couldn't not agree. I needed him back. So, going against my instinct and nature, I agreed. "I... I will complete my task. If it means getting my child back, I will."
"Good boy." Those words made me shudder. It was just like he had addressed me as a child, those horrible thoughts and memories coming rushing back. "Now, after I release you from here, you will have a task set; Kill Samus and her group. I don't care how. I don't care what it takes. Just kill them and get them out of our way. Only then will I give Kirby back to you." I froze instantly at the command. What a fool I was, to agree before hearing the terms! I should have known better, but I could never best him. He could play me like a puppet, and I'd have no idea. And I hated that about myself, I wanted to rip my own skin apart because of it. "No turning back now. You agreed, now you must do your task or you'll never see him again. Now, begone." And with that, the blackness around me dissipated, and I was left sitting in the forest near the manor. I tried to keep myself from shaking as I pulled my son's trophy to myself, hating the cold stone for existing. I didn't want to do this. Yet, if I wanted to see my child again, I had to. I had no damn choice, and it was eating at my soul. I wanted to bang my head against a tree, yell at myself for being stupid, stupid, stupid. I made a deal with the devil, and, well, I got what I asked for. It was awful, but in a way, it was karma for acting up like that in the manor. Now, I had trapped myself, and there was no turning back.
I had to do what was asked of me, or else he'd kill them all.
A/n
Well, well, well. If it isn't everyone's favorite cryptid, a mystery antagonist! What ties does he have to Meta Knight, you ask? Keep in mind, most of this is headcanons, but if you don't like it/don't agree, that's okay! One quick question, though- Do you guys like the ideas of special chapters from other character's points of view, or should I just stick to one? I'm really curious. Well, either way, I had a lot of fun writing this. Hope you guys enjoyed!
