Unexpectedly You

Chapter 24

The rest of the summer went just like any other summer, but this one was better because I had James on my side the whole entire time. We went to the park together, we hung out with friends, and we actually went to Disney world in L.A. Together it was an amazing summer. Then the month of August started and I had to get ready for school. A new school year also means my birthday. "So, I know exactly what to do for your birthday!" James exclaimed. "Oh really what?" I asked playfully. "We are going to the movies, then I am going to make you a dinner!" My mouth fell open. "You can cook?!" I asked surprised. "Yeah! I had cooking class in my old school, I learned a lot and not to toot my own horn, but I'm actually pretty good!" "Okay, looks like you're cooking! What movie do you want to watch and what are you going to cook?" I asked. "Whatever you want, it's YOUR birthday!" He touched my nose and we continued our conversation. The following day we watched a movie and went home. I had to stay in the living room because James wanted the dinner to be a surprise, my parents were out so we had the house to ourselves. "Okay I'm done!" James yelled from the kitchen. I walked in and saw fettuccine Alfredo on a plate with chicken on the side. He pulled out my chair, I sat down and he pushed it in. "What a gentleman." I laughed. "Thank you my lady." He bowed down and we laughed. I took a bite. "Wow James this is delicious!" I exclaimed. We continued eating and we settled in the couch afterwards. He turned on the TV and we cuddled. I had my knees on my chest and I was leaning on James. He wrapped his arm around me and made me feel secure and safe. "James?" I said. "Yeah?" He answered. "This might sound crazy, but I feel so safe and secure like nothing bad will ever happen ever again when you wrap your arms around me." I said looking up at him. He smiled at me. "Good." He said, he then leaned in and placed a kiss on my lips. I sat up and continued kissing him. I fell back on the couch, I was laying there on the couch making out with James above me. He pulled back and sat up. So did I. "Sorry, I got carried away." He cleared his throat. "It's okay." I giggled and kissed his cheek. I laid down on the couch my body facing the TV. He laid behind me and wrapped his muscular arms around my waist. "You like that baby." He softly whispered in my ear. "Yeah." I whispered back. I fell asleep afterwards with James arms wrapped around my body.
