"She cannot be serious. Emma how are you okay with this!"
"I'm not! Audin you said you were done with him, and now you have two! Ella how do you feel on this?" Emma said and crossed her arms across her chest before sending me a glare.
I was leaning back in my lunch chair at the round table listening to Max and Emma bicker. Sliding my bottle of lemonade closer to me, I unscrewed the cap and took a drink.
"I... I don't mind-"
"What!" Max yelled as he sat strait up.
"You heard her," I cut in. "She says she doesn't mind." I said, slightly hostile.
"It makes no difference!" Max revolted. "Emma and I say no." I shot daggers in his direction as a lunch tray slid in between him and I.
My gaze averted towards the mysterious person next to me and my mouth fell open in shock. "What is he doing here!" I questioned with astonishment and Max relaxed his figure.
"Unlike Harley and Frazer, Gabe has friends here and is welcomed to sit for lunch." Max spat. "Speaking of, Gabe how do you feel about them sitting with us? Your judgment is very important to some of us." He added as he smirked at me.
I clutched my bottle and gritted my teeth. Max was taking this too far, but he'd been gone for some time. I could care less about Gabe's opinion of Harley.
"Oh... Um, the Matthews kid? He's kind of a douche." Gabe said, making Max's face light up.
"See." He said.
"Max stop. It's not a big deal if they have lunch with us." Ella said, irritated.
"Yes it is kind of a big deal." Emma challenged.
"Nobody wants them here." Max loathed.
I abruptly stood up and shoved my chair back, making it screech across the tile. The entire table turned towards me and Max's face filled with instant distaste.
I stepped back a little taken back by his look and bumped into something. A hand gently caught my elbow, and I craned my neck to see none other than, Harley Matthews and Frazer not far behind.
Harley was burning holes into Gabe's face, but he simply glared back. Frazer had flowed in behind Ella, and he placed his hands on the edge of her chair, making Max fester with hate.
I turned around to face Harley in the cramped space. His hand remained on my arm as he slowly looked towards me.
His grey eyes seemed angry and irritated, and I doubt the presents to Gabe did all of that, but then again I could be wrong.
I opened my mouth to say something.
"Audin." A deep male voice called in a serious tone.
My eyebrows knitted together as I remembered this voice in particular, how could any student forget it. I grabbed the side of Harley's torso and peered around him to see Principal Evans.
The color drained from my face as he gave a finger motion for me to follow him. I swallowed a lump growing in my throat as I left the disaster behind me and trailed Principal Evans.
I could feel dozens upon dozens of eyes beating down on my entire figure making my palms sweat. I glanced to my left briefly and caught one persons eyes that made me shutter in fear.
Logan had the darkest smirk painted on his face.

"Did Harley Matthews make you participate in the burning of the corn fields?"
I bit my lip attempting to keep up my poker face. I was sitting in a recently familiar office chair.
A man, in what seemed to be a sherif suit, sat in Principal Evans' chair, and the Principal himself was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed.
"I'm not going to ask you again." The Sherif said.
"And I'm not going to tell you again." I said with amusement. "If this is an interrogation, you better have a charge placed against me, and I demand to see my lawyer."
The sherif seemed frustrated with me, and I would be too. We had been in here all afternoon, and he had gotten nothing, but I wasn't going to tell him anything. I didn't have to, yet.
Principal Evans sighed. "Audin you were seen fleeing the scene with a man fitting Harley's description in your car. Others have reported your peak of interest with Mr. Matthews. If you were forced to do something, come clean."
My head was swimming with so many words.
Arson is a crime.
We can pin you with aiding and abiding.
Accessory to crime is punishable.
"If this is an interrogation I want my lawyer... And technically, you can't hold me here since we aren't at the police station." I glanced at the clock on the desk, and I stood up from my chair. "And it's three o'clock, I'll be going home."
How do they say it, shit started to hit the fan? Well shit was most definitely hitting the fan now.
The police were on to Harley, and I had no idea what this meant for us. All I could hope was that maybe, just maybe he had a plan.
