Chapter 3. The errand boy

It was after school and I was walking out of the school to go home, when I just remembered that I had left my sketchbook with Haruhi, I sighed and went back in. 'I know he said something about Music Room #3, so let's hope he's there' I thought as I headed towards the music area, I soon found the door and pushed it open.

"Welcome"

Was all I heard as I was hit with rose petals and a blinding light, I opened my eyes and saw Haruhi with a bunch of other guys "Oh it's just a kid" the tall blond guy said "Uh, I think I have the wrong...oh uh hey Haruhi" I said nervously, I was pretty on edge with all of the strangers in the room. "Hey boss isn't that the new American student?" the twins asked, I honestly don't know which one was which and that way of them talking in complete unison just completely creeped me out.

"Oh that's right! Well my good sir, we welcome you to our beautiful country my name is Tamaki Suoh" what is going on "Uh, thanks? I just wanted to ge-" I was suddenly interrupted by Tamaki who suddenly appeared at my side while he closely inspected my clothes "Honestly you look like a commoner in that outfit" I blushed brightly out of embarrassment and looked over at Haruhi in a pleading way "Uh guys I think he just wanted to get something from me" Haruhi said.

"Oh is that so?" I nodded timidly and quickly went over to Haruhi, only wanting to go home. "Haru-chan is this the boy you were talking about?" I heard a child-like voice come from somewhere, when I realized it had come from the blond...kid? I honestly wasn't sure about this kids age but he looked way too young to be in a highschool and considering that I look nowhere near my age, that's saying something.

Haruhi nodded and led me to his bag, he took out my sketchbook and handed it to me "Thank you so much Haruhi I was so scared that it wasn't with you" I smiled happily and carefully put it in my bag. but I didn't notice what had fallen out of my bag until Tamaki had picked it up "Jonboy Caramels?" He gave me a very confused look, obviously he had never seen the beauty known as Jonboy Caramels. I smiled and nodded "Yeah, where I used to live you could get it very easily for pretty cheap so my mom bought a bunch, they're really good."

The twins were now looking over his shoulders before he opened it. i guess I never really noticed it but holy hell they are tall. Tamaki took out a piece before he ate it. Then he said something about it being as good as commoner's coffee. I was then dragged off by the kid "Come on Ao-chan! we should get some cake!" He said happily, the others came over and kind of cornered me "Yeah you should stay" I felt panicked "I-I really can't I have to go home."

I replied, backing up rather quickly. but I stumbled backwards and fell into something. As soon as I heard the shatter of glass and felt the pain of getting cut by it I knew I was fucked. 'oh God' many thoughts ran through my head as I stared up in utter terror, I felt myself shaking as tears rolled down my cheeks, I felt utterly terrified. I soon realized that Haruhi was shaking my shoulders and trying to get me back to reality "Noah, Noah, are you okay?" He looked, really concerned.

I nodded and wiped the tears from my face, not noticing that blood got on my face "Ye..yeah I'm oka-" was what I was able to say before I started sobbing. I knew I was a crybaby but this situation just reminded me of too many horrible memories that I would rather forget, I trembled and hid in my coat out of embarrassment. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry" was the only thing I was able to repeat due to my current state.

After a bit I was able to calm myself down mostly due to reassurance from Haruhi and Tamaki, I could only assume out of pity, and I could finally speak like a normal human person. Haruhi helped me up and moved me to a couch before I was given a few Band-Aids for my injuries and Kyoya started talking to me. "What's the status, doctor?" I asked as he gave me a neutral look, I chuckled nervously and looked away slightly. "Sorry bad time for jokes. Anyway what did I knock over and how much do I have to pay?" I asked putting up a serious facade to ignore what had happened a bit ago.

"Well what you knocked over was a cabinet with 9 antique tea sets in it that each cost about ¥142, you broke all but two so I would say that that would be 1 million yen" I was slightly freaked out about this, I looked down at my hands in my lap in shame. "Oh God, I can't even imagine having that much money, I really messed up this time." I mumbled to myself.

Then Tamaki stood in front of me causing me to look up at him. "Well, if you can't pay it off then you will have to work it off okay? Haruhi can show you the ropes!" he smirked. "Well, if it will pay the debt then I guess I have no choice." I replied anxiously.
