In another part of the country a few years later a young 17 year old sneaked out of his house. He had heard that the guards were coming to kill him and his friends, so he had packed a bag and left. His parents hadn't asked him to, they probably hadn't heard, but he had to run. Saving his own life. He knew that he in no possible way could be the guy that the leader was trying to kill. He was just a guy who liked to prank his friends, a completely normal teenage boy. Sure he had the humour of a comedian, at least that was what people had told him, but how would that help him kill someone?

"Goodbye" he silently breathed out as he looked back at his village, then he disappeared into the woods. Running away from there quickly, wanting to be far away when the sun went up.

Much later he somehow came across a camp. He stayed hidden in the forest, his hoodie's hood over his head like usual. Just staring at the place. This might be a camp that some guards set up on their way to the next village. He had come across one of those before. He stared from a far, just feeling the smell of some cooked food. His stomach letting out a loud growl, his food had ran out a few days ago and he was now living on the things he had been able to find in the wild.

Laughing suddenly filled his ears, he looked around, seeing three boys who all looked slightly older than him coming closer. One was wearing a black hoodie with a fire nation logo, his hood hiding his face completely. Another one was wearing a white shirt under a dark grey vest aswell as a tie. His hair was dark, except a blonde bit at the front. The last one was a bit more interesting, he looked like a swamp prince in a way. Around his head was a thin golden headband, looking a lot like something a prince would wear. He also had some green fabrik around his waist, staying up with the help of some golden bands. Although his mouth was looking almost like a frogs, and his eyes were just as bright green as his clothing. I wondered if they were guards, even if none of them looked like it.

Suddenly the frog looking one stopped, his eyes meeting the 17 year old's, who too froze. What if they were guards! He nudged his friend, the one who wasn't showing his face. Both of them now looking at the young boy, the third too stopping and following their gaze.

"Is it a guard you think?" he asked, loud enough for the hooded boy to hear.

"I don't know, he is a bit young" the swamp boy pointed out. "A guard wouldn't be that young, not since that law"

"Laake got a point, they would kill a guy like him before he got a chance to be a guard" the faceless guy spoke, taking his hood of. A lava mob? The young 17 year old had never in his life seen one of those before, sure he had read about the threatened group in school. But now they all lived in a small city called the Fire nation, in the far out corner of the country. They were really rare to spot out like this.

"Yo kid, what's your name?" the guy with the fancy clothes asked me.

"S-Shot" I stuttered out, the thoughts of them being guards still in the back of my head.

"Alright Shot, come on out so we can see you properly. We won't hurt you" the lava mob promised, Shot carefully walked out from his hiding spot behind the trees. Stopping a few feet away, so he would be able to run if he had to.

"Hello" Shot mumbled, still unsure if this was wise. Even if they weren't guards they might be mad because he had spied at the camp.

"Hello, I'm Laake, and this is Frags and Quiff" the frog looking guy explained, giving Shot a wide smile, way too wide for a human mouth.

"Did you run away too?" The lava mob, Frags, asked, frowning as he looked at the mud that covered the youngers clothes and face.

"Yeah, it's better than dying" Shot replied, sighing as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Totally. You hungry bud?" Laake asked, inviting Shot into their camp. His stomach growled just at the mention, and so he agreed to Laake's offer, getting his first allies.
