Shot, in his turn, was sitting in the camp together with his three new allies. Frags had taught him how to fight properly with a sword, just in case guards would come to their camp. He also learned that it was fun to prank Quiff. He always was so confused, and it made everyone laugh, even him in the end.

He also learned that Quiff and Laake both ran from the swamp city, while Frags ran from the Lava Nation, they met in a roofed forest between the two cities and then they camped out in the normal forest by it and now they had had their camp there ever since. And while Quiff came from a peasant family, Laake actually came from a nobel one. He was the mayor's son, and didn't actually need to flee, but he didn't want to lose his best friends, so he helped the three other flee with him, although he lost two of them on the way. But he wasn't too worried, since both was really good at surviving in the wild.

"Don't you ever wonder where they are?" Shot asked him and Quiff one night as they ate the steak and drank the milk they had found during the day.

"Bajan and Jerome? Of course we do, all the time" Quiff explained, taking a bite from the steak in his hands.

"Why don't you try and find them then?" the youngest asked, intrigued by it.

"Oh, we tried. For a whole year we just searched and searched. And instead we stumbled across Frags, and now here we are" Laake explained, smiling to the lava mob.

"Yeah, these cactuses was close to starving when I found them" Frags explained, smiling their way.

"We were not, we were managing just fine" Quiff replied, holding up his enchanted diamond sword, as to prove his point. Making Laake keep back a giggle.

"No offence bud, but we were quite badly in need of help. Sure you were strong, you got us both food and something to drink during the whole year. But you were also training me, and we both was looking for our friends. We were exhausted, he did save us" the rich frog explained, as Quiff rolled his eyes. Laake just turned to Shot, giving him a weak smile. "Like I've told you, I'm not worried about Jerome or Bajan. I'm sure they are together and they are fine" he explained, sighing.

"I think it's time for us to go to bed. We don't want to be out when the monsters come out" Frags spoke, getting up from his seat. "Shot, I'll take you to your tent" he then added, Shot nodded and stood up. Sure it was unusual of him to make this offer, but the younger knew that the lava mob definitely knew what he was doing and more importantly, knew the two other, better than him.

When they had gotten a bit away from the fire Frags took Shot aside between both their tents, putting his hand on the youngers shoulders.

"Shot, I think you and I need to train harder. I have a feeling something is coming, and we will have to fight it" Frags explained, making Shot frown deeply.

"What?" he asked in purely confusion at the olders statement.

"Laake is strong, for sure, but he is no warrior. And while Quiff is a great fighter, he gets too cocky. If something goes well for him he will lose his focus. But you, I think I can train you to be great" Frags told him, the younger still frowning, not knowing what he meant. "...just like my cousin once was" he then added, this in a quiet mumble like he didn't want Shot to hear.

"Who?"

"That is the story for another time my man" Frags explained, before giving him a pat on the shoulder. "Go and get some rest" and with that he left the 17 year old alone between their tents, going to get some rest himself.
