Doni and the cyborg sat alone in the other camp, both of them holding a fishing rod each while they calmly sat there. They didn't really speak, as it could disturb the fish, and they really had nothing to speak about either. But they liked sitting there and watch as the river that floated by.
The owl thought it was really nice to have someone there by his side, but at the same time it reminded him of all he had lost. Sure, some of it he had made a choice to lose. Like his cousin who he still had heard nothing from. He hoped the annoying puffin was alright, maybe he had found his own camp with new friends. Hopefully he at least was alive somewhere.
At the same time he thought about that, he wondered about the guy beside him, Bionic. He wanted to know what he was thinking, read his mind. He had told the owl that he had lost his little brother, but Doni wondered if that was what was on his mind, or if he was just concentrating on the fishing. Maybe the cyborg even thought about his home, he must have parents and friends somewhere.
"Where are you from Bionic?" the owl heard himself ask, before even realizing the words slipped his mouth.
"The Mine City" Bionic replied, not turning around from the fishing. "You?"
"Performium" Doni spoke.
"I have an uncle there" Bionic said, his voice showing no exact emotion, he just seemed calm to the owl.
"Really? What's his name?" the owl asked, hoping in some conversation.
"Steda" Bionic replied with a shrug, Doni just raising an eyebrow at the reply.
"Steda? He's an amazing guy" he told the cyborg, who first then turned his head for just a second to glance at the older.
"I haven't met him since I was 10, but I do remember him as a funny guy" Bionic explained. "He is a lot younger than my mum though, he's like 30 or something close to that"
"Yeah, he's in Rga's age, isn't he?" the owl remembered, he smiled at the thought of his friends.
"Rga? I'm not sure who that is" the cyborg told Doni.
"Right, Rga is the mayor or Performium" Doni explained, Bionic just nodding slowly.
"I had no idea" the cyborg then said, turning his head fully and breaking a small smile. "Mine City has always been kind of busy all time around, we never really get a break from school or our work, not like full breaks. We get lunch and like the evenings. But we don't have weekends or summer holidays" Bionic then explained.
"You don't? Why?"
"I don't know, it's just the way it's always been. You get time off if you are sick, but that's it really" the cyborg sighed.
"It must've been horrible"
"Not really, at least it wasn't for me. I was just 15 when I left, I hadn't really gotten to the worst part. No mines, no factories, just my school lessons. And in school we still have like the free periods. We have our lunch breaks, our times between lessons, everything like that" Bionic explained, not caring about the fishing rod that had gotten a caught if he had paid attention. "But the adults work like slaves. They have long hours, only lunch breaks, and most of the time is spent in the mines. Except if you are lucky and get to work in a factory to smelt the resources" he continued.
"Why doesn't anyone know about that?" Doni wasn't either concentrating on the fishing anymore, he was now really interested in the conversation.
"Herobrine works hard to not let anyone know, where do you think his riches come from? The people who works long hours for just enough money for them to pay their rent and buy food for their families. It's crazy, I'm telling you that" the cyborg was now using his hands as he spoke. "That's the first thing I would change if I got the power Herobrine has" he then added as he looked down on his hands.
"My first change would be to make sure everyone who's been living in the woods for these last couple of months, or even years, get some serious help to get back on their feet, as well as do everything I could to help the families that lost their children" Doni sighed, the cyborg agreeing.
"Can I tell you something?" The cyborg then asked, looking up from his hands, still looking kind of nervous. Doni wondered what he was so nervous about.
"Of course man"
"My brother's last wish, the last words he said to me, was for me to take my revenge" The cyborg explained, but the owl really didn't understand at first, he just gave the other a confused look. "He wanted me to kill Herobrine" Doni just gaped as the cyborg said that, too surprised to say anything for a few seconds.
"I would love to help you man" Doni then said, when he had let the words sink in.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure everyone in the camp would do it, that man need to get off the throne, just like we need that oracle to disappear" the owl promised, the cyborg nodded.
"Do you know any of the Oracles? Or know their names?" Bionic questioned, hoping that the older would.
"No, they usually is very an..." Doni didn't get to finish the sentence as someone stopped him.
"Landon, if you are wondering about the name on the oracle who told this prophecy" the voice explained, both of the boys turning around in surprise.
"My apologies, I didn't mean to scare the two of you" he explained, he was wearing a black and grey hoodie, his hands hidden in the pocket on the front. "I'm Kenworth" he then added with a nod.
"Ehm, I'm Doni, that's Bionic" Doni explained as Bionic made a quick hand wave. "How do you know the name of the oracle?" Doni was really scared of this stranger. He was had a diamond sword in his belt, which seemed to be enchanted, as well as a bow which was hanging over his shoulder.
"It's a pleasure" the man commented with a quick nod. "I was just passing by when I heard you talking about the oracle and Herobrine" the man explained, not moving an inch. "And I know a lot of people who would love to help, actually I think I know about eight people who would"
"How do you know the name of the oracle?" Bionic questioned, as he didn't replied when Doni had asked.
"Landon? He's the cousin of one of my best friends. Believe me, I've heard a word or two about him since he told Herobrine" Kenworth explained with a sigh. "Believe me when I say, he is a smart kid, hiding away, but as soon as the rest of the people here figure out where he's at he'd be better off at home" he then continued.
"Wait? He's out here? What's up with all the nobel kids fleeing, they have no need to" Doni commented, frowning. He didn't understand why these people, those who were born into a higher class, would willingly leave everything behind just to come out into the woods and live on the things they had to find.
"He realized that as soon as everyone would hear about the truth, he would be killed and hated by everyone, so he left before anyone had the chance, taking his best friend with him of course" Kenworth explained, coming closer to the two. "Do you mind if I sit down?" he then asked, both of the younger boys shaking their heads as they gave him some space by the river.
"So, who are the rest of the people who would be willing to help?" Bionic asked, interested in the fact that he might be able to take his revenge.
"Well, firstly it's everyone in my camp, then it's everyone in the oracle's cousins camp. I'm sure I could get them all over here if you'd like" Kenworth promised, looking into the water in front of them.
"That would be awesome, if we could plan an attack on the capital, I'm sure we could work something out" Doni replied, excited on the fact that he might get out of this forest before the several weeks that were left.
"Maybe, but we would have to get in the castle without being caught by guards, and get there without travelling through a lot of cities" Kenworth explained, Bionic nodding along in agreement.
"This forest connects to the Mine City, west of it to be precise. I know the area quite well if they haven't changed it recently" the cyborg explained.
"That's a good start, I'll go get on my way. If I'm quick I can get the two other camps here before night falls" Kenworth spoke, getting up on his feet. "I suppose I'll see the three of you later then" he then added, giving them both a smile.
"Sounds good" Bionic agreed, then the man wandered away to hopefully be back before the sun set.
