It had been just about a year and nothing.  The last time we even got the slightest bit of contact with the guys was when I texted Nath that we landed. We tried calling and texting but nothing; they didn’t even reject our phone calls. I mean yes, they are very busy, but not so busy to the point they can’t even send a quick text.

I couldn’t believe I trusted Nathan. I felt so good when he was around me, and now it’s gone. Anna and I don’t really talk about it much, but I can tell she missed them just as much as I did. We ‘moved on’ with our lives and continued our jobs at Starbucks.

I couldn’t think of any feeling worst than the one I had. I have never missed someone so much in my life, and we only knew each other for a few days. Nothing exciting happened since we left the boys in Ibiza and life was boring. I felt so useless without Nathan.

“What can I get you?” I asked the figure standing in front of the counter, not yet looking up at them.

“Yeah, I’ll just get two teas to go” I heard a familiar voice say. I glance up to see Siva standing there with the money in his hand. I took the money and gave him his change.

“They will be ready in a few,” I looked up at him, hoping he would recognize me. “What’s your name?”

“Siva” He responded. Nothing. How could Siva not remember me? How could the boys forget us?

“Okay Anna will call you when it’s ready.” I wrote his name on a paper and handed it Anna. Anna looked up from the paper just in time to catch a glimpse of the tall dark man, who had no clue who we were, making his way to a table in the semi-crowded café. She sighed and made the teas as I took a few more orders.

“Siva!” I heard Anna call out. I glanced sideways, watching him get up with the woman I just notice he was with.  He grabbed the teas, handing one to the woman, and walked off after thanking Anna. She looked down and went back to making the orders.

After our shift we decided to go walk around the town. I was looking across the street, not paying attention to wear I was going until I bumped right into someone.

“Oh, I’m so-“I looked up to see Nathan looking back at me. I shook my head and walked away without finishing my sentence, with Anna slowly and sadly following.

“What do you have a problem with me?” He looked at me, my back was still turned, but I could feel his eyes burning into me.

Where do I begin?

“Do I have a problem? With you? Never.” I said bitterly. He walked up closer.

“Sorry about bumping into, if that’s what you’re mad about, because I’ve done nothing else wrong to you.” He rolled his eyes.

“You’re kidding right?” Anna spoke up before I could get a word in. “Wow, did you guys get into an accident after we left? Causing all of you to lose your memory?” She shook her head. “First Siva, now you, I should have figure it was all too good to be true.”

“What are you talking about?” He was starting to get angry.

“I’M TALKING ABOUT HER NATHAN” She pointed at me. “WAS THAT YOUR PLAN? TO MAKING HER FEEL SPECIAL AND THEN IGNORE HER? BECAUSE THAT’S HAPPENED BEFORE, SHE DOESN’T NEED THE SAME KIND OF SHIT AGAIN! SHE TRUSTED YOU, SHE WAITED FOR YOU TO TEXT OR CALL YOU BACK BUT YOU DIDN’T. NONE OF YOU DID!” She yelled and turned away, she had tears streaming down her face. I’ve never seen her so upset. I glanced at Nathan to see the look on his face. It was a mixture between worried, sad, frustrated and confused. I shook my head and followed Anna as she walked back to our house.

I was just standing on the sidewalk, the same place I was when Anna yelled at me. She had every right to yell at me. I was stupid. I didn’t ignore her, I forgot about her. How could I forget about the most important girl in my life?

I never added her number into my phone after she texted me because I was too tired. Jay had forgotten to get Anna’s number and none of the other boys had their numbers, so within two weeks we totally forgot about them. I saw how hurt Christa was, even though she was trying to hide it, and it killed me. I couldn’t stand to see her so upset.

I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I dialed Jay’s number and put it up to my ear while I waited for him to answer.

“Hey mate!” I heard Jay exclaim over the phone. “Did you forget my order already?” He joked. That’s right; I was supposed to be picking up our lunch. I started walking again towards the takeout restaurant.

“No, I just ran into some people, I’m on my way there now.” I looked down at the ground.

“Who was it? Do I know them? Were they fans?” He asked, clearly noticing I didn’t sound too happy.

“No, they clearly weren’t fans,” I sighed, “Jay it was Christa and Anna, from last year, we took them to Ibiza with us. Remember?”

No response. “Jay are you still there?”

“Yeah...” He mumbled. “I’m still here.”  I walked into the restaurant and got in line. “So uh, how were they?”

“Christa bumped into me, started to say sorry but once she recognized me she didn’t finish, I didn’t even recognize her. Then Anna yelled at me, and I remembered. I feel awful.” I sighed and walked up to the counter and ordered.

“Me too mate.” I heard Jay say through the phone as I paid and grabbed the bags. “What are we going to do?” He asked as I walked out the door.

“I have no clue, I have our food, and I’ll see you in a few” I said and hung up. I couldn’t even imagine what it would take to get Christa to at least look at me, let alone forgive me. I made my way back to the flat trying to think of what to do about the girls.
