“Christa!” He yelled, following me. I turned around and let him catch up to me. He came close to me, his eyes big. “I can’t let you do this. Just tell me you love me. Please.” He begged I just shook my head. “I don’t want to wake up tomorrow knowing I’m never going to see you again.” I sighed. I’d have to give in just a little for him to leave me alone.
“Nathan what else do you want from me? I’m not going to date you. I’m not going to be your girlfriend.” He stayed quiet for a minute, and then his eyes lit up.
“Then just be my friend. You feel like you don’t know me anymore right? Then get to know me, be my friend.” He grabbed my hand.
“Fine, but that’s all we are, just friends.” He nodded and hugged me. I sighed and hugged back. “Can I go now?” I asked.
“No.” He grinned. “How will you get to know me more if you ignore me?” He grabbed my hand and pulled down the street.
We got to a building that I assumed was his flat and he unlocked it. “Would you like some tea?” He smiled, pleased with his plan.
“Sure.” I sighed and looked around. “Is this where you and the guys live?” I asked looking around; it didn’t look like five boys lived in this house at all.
“No,” he said turning on the kettle. “The others live with their girlfriends, so it’s just Jay and I.” He grabbed two mugs and poured the tea. He handed one of the mugs to me and made his way to the couch. I followed him, still looking around the house. “What do you want to watch?” He asked turning on the TV.
I shrugged and looked at the time on my phone. “The game should be starting in a few.” I looked up at him to find him staring at me, his mouth open in shock. “And this is why we aren’t dating; we know absolutely nothing about each other.” I mumbled to myself, still loud enough for him to hear. He shrugged it off and turned on the game.
“I just didn’t think you would like football.” He said defending himself.
“I love it, Anna hates it, but I love it. I’ve been watching it since I was little.” He smiled when I said that.

The game ended and we were both pleased that Manchester United won. Nathan was doing a little happy dance, knowing how mad Max probably was. I smiled at him and stood up. “I should probably go.” I grabbed my phone and sunglasses.
He walked up to me wrapping me in a big bear hug. “Thanks for giving me a second chance, love.” He whispered in my ear. I shook my head as he went to kiss my cheek.
“Just friends, remember?” I reminded him; he sighed and took a step back. “I see you later.” I waved and walked out of the house.

As soon as I walked through the door of our house Anna shrieked.
“WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?” She yelled, obviously over excited to tell me something.
“I was watching the game with Nathan.” I replied calmly. “Did you stay with Jay?” She nodded happily.
“Are you guys going to start dating again?” She smiled brightly. “Jay's taking me out on a proper date tomorrow night.”
“Nathan and I are just friends. He wouldn’t leave me only until I gave him that much.” Her smile dropped from her face.
“Why do you have to be so difficult?” She groaned, obviously unhappy with my answer.
