Missed

"I'm so sorry." The nurse said after a long, silent pause.

Selena didn't answer. She just leaped to her feet and ran out the room. The nurse called after her but it was no use, Selena was gone.

Selena ran to her car and sped all the way to the house.

She woke Emily up and packed up her things.

She loaded up the car and started driving.

She didn't know where she was going, all she knew was that she needed to get far away from here.

There was a knock on Shawn Mendes's door. He got up and opened it.

There stood Selena.

She looked pale and sick.

"Selena I-" Shawn started to say, but Selena lost her footing and passed out. He caught her and carried her to his couch.

What had happened to her, Shawn thought.

He would soon find out.

"Dead!?"Shawn exclaimed. "Charlie's dead!?"

Selena nodded, the color still drained from her face. She had come to her senses thrityminuets ago.

"Please don't yell." She said, softly. "My head hurts."

"I'm sorry." Shawn said. "He's really dead?"

Selena nodded, tears in her eyes.

"I didn't even get to say goodbye." she started to cry again.

Shawn engulfed her in a hug. "Selena please don't cry."

But he was crying too.

"I loved him." Selena sobbed.

"I know." Shawn replied softly.

Selena threw herself onto Shawn and just cried into his shoulder.

"He'll be missed." Shawn whispered in her ear.
