"You can't stay here." Shawn told Selena over dinner. It was the first thing he had said to her since the birth.
"Why not?"
"Cause."
"That's not an answer Shawn."
"I know..."
Shawn was quiet for a few minutes then he said, "you have to leave."
"Shawn." Selena said sharply.
"You have to leave." He repeated.
"But why?"
"I can't do this anymore."
"Do what!? You don't do anything!!!"
There was a pause.
"You just have to go. Don't ask questions. Just take Emily and go."
"Fine." Selena pushed back her chair, angry, scooped up Emily with one arm took her purse and keys in the other and slammed the door behind her.
