Buying Time

Logan has left to get a new car. You change into your new clothes and sit with Laura so you can do her hair. You remember all those styles you learn from YouTube and incorporate it to make Laura's hair look cute.

"I remember how you used to do it at the stairs and everyone decided to join in", says Charles.

"A little rusty, but it'll do", you say, seeing how Laura loves it. You're about to give Charles his meds when he grabs your forearm.

"He's here, (y/n)", says Charles. You freeze at his words. They've found you.

"Laura, make sure no one enters. I'll be right back", you give Laura a kiss on the forehead before handing Charles his meds. "Eat those please", you say.

"If you go, you won't come back", says Charles.

"If it means to save you, its for the best", you say before shutting the door.

You sneak past the Reavers and hide behind a pillar nearby the truck. You see him and the minute his eyes are set on you, you make sure he follows you away.

Donald knows she wants to talk, so he let her have her ways for now. You lead him to the alleyway and make sure the two of you are alone.

"Where's the q-bald?", asks Donald.

"What do you want? She's just a kid! Leave her alone!", you yell at him.

Donald slams you to the wall, his biomechanic arm holds you by the throat. Donald places a kiss just beneath your earlobe.

"Sometimes, I forgot how beautiful you are", he whispers.

"Donald please, let us go", you plead.

"I'm willing to let them have a head start..., if you come with me", he says.

"Bullshit I'm not going to", you say, still trying to pry his arm off of you.

"Baby, I wasn't asking", he says before he stabs you with a syringe and you immediately pass out.

Logan returns to see (y/n) gone. Fuck, he got her! He curses internally.

"Why did you let her leave?", Logan asks.

"She left on her own choice. I tried to stop her, I really do", says Charles.

Logan runs his fingers through his hair. Now what?
