47. Bestiary

I started to feel more and more of my body. I could move some of my body parts again.

"Cassandra?!"

"Yeah?!"

"I caught you a rabbit."

"Great! Can you throw it to my through an open window?"

"Sure." I heard some stumbling outside

"Here!" I heard a tonk beside me and saw the rabbit laying there. I smiled

"Thanks, Damon."

"You're welcome." I did everything I could to stick my hand out to it. I pulled it closer to my face and I fed of it. The more I fed the faster I could feel my body again. Once I was done I could move freely again

"Better?" I totally forgot about Damon standing outside

"Yeah, thanks."

"Anytime." I whipped my mouth and made sure I didn't get blood on my clothes. I looked over to the clock. Shit. I'm late. A lot late. I sight. I walk outside and throw the dead rabbit back into forest.

"Why did you do that?"

"I don't know. It just makes me feel a bit better."

"You're even worse than Stefan."

"Right. I'm not the only one who feeds of animals."

"Nope, but what happened?"

"I don't know. Normally when I forgot the feed it isn't this bad. I've never collapsed. I couldn't feel my body. And all of it out of the blue, really weird."

"I think it has something to do with that thing I saw."

"Possibly."

"Do you know what it is yet?"

"No. We're still working on it."

"You fill me in when you find something out, right?"

"Sure."

"Thanks. That thing gave me a weird vibe." My phone rang. I walk inside and pick my phone up from the ground

'Where are you?'

"At home."

'Why?'

"I had a little situation, but I'm fine again."

'What? What happened?'

"It's been too long since I fed and I went all numb. I couldn't move anymore, but Damon helped."

'What?! All numb? Like not being able to move at all?'

"Yeah, Stiles. But I'm fine again."

'That's that thing's thing! That's what it does! Come to school. Now!'

"What? And OK, I'm coming." I put my phone in my pocket and go back to Damon

"What?"

"You were right, Damon."

"About what?!"

"About that this was that thing you saw."

"How do you know?"

"Stiles just called. I need to go to school."

"I'm coming."

"No, you're not."

"What? Of course I am!"

"No you're not!"
