Angels POV

"Angel last chance for you to wake up before I leave." Barb shouted from the staircase.

"5 more minutes." I groaned pulling the sheets over my head

My name is Angel well that's my nickname.I'm 11 and 3 quarters and I live at Graham Windham Orphanage

Living at an orphanage isn't so bad once you get used to it except for the fact that we wake up early I can never get used to that even though I've been here for 5 years.

If there's one thing I've learned at this orphanage it's that nothing gold can stay.It will either rust or chip away.

After what felt like five minutes of sleeping I got up the room which I shared with five other girls was empty and a mess I glanced at the clock and it beamed 7:55.I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing correctly.7:56 dang it.

I jump out of bed hitting my head on top of the bunk bed I scurried through my closet and found a decent outfit I hurried into the washroom and tried to brush my hair sadly I can only brush my hair when it's wet and I don't have time to take a shower.I brushed my teeth then ran down the stairs and grabbed a pop tart.

I grabbed all of my schoolwork off the table and dumped it in my bag.

I was about to run out the door when I felt someone gently grab my shirt from behind.

"You forgot your lunch." A small voice spoke it was Aubrey one of the girls who shared a room with me she was only 4 so she didn't go to school yet.

"Oh thank you." I ruffled her hair as I took my lunch kit and stuffed it in my bag I looked at my watch 8:00

I put on my salmon pink converse and a light sweater then ran out the door.

I was running faster than I ever have before I don't even run this fast at track and field day I could not be late and ruin my perfect attendance record.my sneakers skidded as I turned the corner and I ran into a tall figure I felt a scorching liquid on my arms as I fell to the ground

Anthony's POV

I walked out of a Starbucks holding my favourite drink hot chocolate perfect for February weather.

I turned the corner and felt some run into me which cause to drop my drink I look down the see a little girl on the floor trying to gather up my hot chocolate

"Uh what are you doing?" I asked her

She looked up at me and gosh she had the bluest eyes I've ever seen they weren't cold and crisp they were the type of eyes that you just melt in.

"I'm so sorry I wasnt watching where I was running and--." She began

"There's no need to apologize I can just by another one." I held my hand out to help her up

"I just made you waste 3.75$ and your going to go over and buy a new one all over again." She took my hand and stood up

"Yeah." I replied sheepishly

"Good Lord,at least let me pay you back." she began digging through her pocket

"What no!,I'm not going to accept money from a 9-year-old girl." I hold my hands up

"First off I'm 11 and 3 quarters ." She took out a note pad and began to write something down she ripped out the paper and handed to me.

IOU

970-413-0808

Call this number and asked to speak to Angel.

"Angel?,is that your name." I looked up from the sheet

She nodded and tucked her note pad back into her pocket. She glances at her watch and her expression changed completely.

"Well I would love to stay and chat but I gotta go because I'm going to be late." She waved and ran off

I picked my cup off the ground and threw it in the trash.

I folded the paper and tucked it into my jean pocket.

I was making my way to the theatre when someone strike my back from behind which cause me to dopple over and scrape my knee.I slowly got back up again and felt my back there was a sticky note
Damn teenagers
I took it off and it read.

Stay away from her
