"Wake up!", I sat upright when I heard a male voice directly screeching in my ear.
My first thought was: oh no, Daniel's caught me at my most vulnerable moments.
But then I felt someone shifting besides me and lots of groaning.
"What the-?"
The small monster in front of me giggle into his little hands as he gave me a wide-eyed look.
Coming back to my senses I realised I was still at Aiden's house. We had somehow managed to fall asleep in the middle of the movie.
"Who are you?", I squinted at the little boy, beckoning him to come a little closer.
He did so, shyly, his wide green eyes gazing at me with wonder.
"I'm Lucas.", he offered me his tiny hand.
My heart swelled with awe at his actions.
"Hey there, can I call you Luke?"
Tilting his head for a moment, he regarded the nickname and then nodded approvingly at me.
Grinning widely, I gathered the little boy in my arms.
"I'm Grace."
"Are you m-my brother's girl..girlfriend?", Luke questioned me, as he timidly shuttered out the question.
"No", I laughed, my cheeks turning red at the thought.
"What's going on?", Aiden groaned from besides me, as he squinted his eyes, "Let's go back to sleeping, please?"
Tugging at my hand, he frowned when he discovered I was already a little preoccupied.
"You never told me you had a brother!"
"Oh, I see you've met the monster?"
"Nooo!", Luke launched himself in Aiden as I stared at the sibling banter.
My heart ached for a relationship like theirs.
"What's all that noise?", Aiden's mom came bustling in.
"Hello Grace!"
"Hey Mrs Maddox", I greeted her with a warm smile, pushing back my hair.
"Call me Alice, dear.", she told me with a warm smile, "Well, you two better start getting ready if you don't want to be late."
"What do you mean-?", I started questioning as the I caught sight of the clock on the wall.
"Oh.No.", Aiden and I muttered at the same time.
It was six thirty in the morning. We fell asleep watching the movie. I didn't go back home last night.
I'm so dead.

"Hurry up!" , I urged Aiden as I went the through various scenarios in my head of the confrontation I was about to have with my foster mother.
What am I going to tell her?
"We're here", Aiden pulled me out of my thoughts as he parked his bike at the corner of the road.
"Tell her you fainted?", Aiden suggested.
"Seriously?", I threw him a sarcastic look as I nervously bit my finger.
"Hey look", Aiden pointed at my house.
Following his gaze, I turned to look at an open window at the second floor of the three-storey house.
