A Year After Losing Kayla

Chapter 7

Thought I'd do something a little bit different with this chapter cos you guys actually know nothing about Tommy. Chapter 7: (Tommy's point of View)

I stared out at the car driving away. I stared until it had completely left my sight. She was in that car, I had been so stupid to let that happen. He was a dangerous man, he had raped Kayla and gotten her pregnant. Could he hurt Holly as well? I walked back to my house in the rain. My thoughts were only of Holly.

How could I be doing  this? Falling for my ex girlfriends Sister, I hadn't dated another girl since I lost Kayla. I had been to hurt to even think about letting another girl in. I had never wanted to let Kayla in, but she forced herself  in. I walked into my house and up the stairs to my room. I'd barely sat down on my bed before my Dad walked in.

'Where the hell did you go' He yelled at me. I turned my head away from him.

'Please Dad' I started. 'Not right now' He paid no attention and turned me round to face him. He sat on the edge of my bed next to me. 

'Mum is worried about you' He said, looking into my eyes.

'Bullshit' I whispered, but not quiet enough as my Dad heard. He punched me in the face and grabbed hold of my wrists.

'Don't talk like that' He spat at me. 'Your Mum cares' He continued.

'No, she doesnt. All she cares about is the Drugs!' I yelled at him. Dad glared at me. But, even he couldn't deny that it was true. 'Why are you still here?' I asked. 'You don't care about Mum or me. Why havent you packed your bags and gone?'

Dad stood up and walked out of my room. I punched my pillow and cried. I had lost Kayla and now I was probably going to lose Holly as well. I looked at all the notepads we had filled. I flicked through them, I know Holly had written down her address somewhere. That's where they would be now.

I flicked through page after page. Where was it? But whilst doing so I began to piece certain bits of information together that I had never taken much notice of before. More things began to make sense. Parts of the puzzle coming together. I looked over at my notes for a little while.

Then I found the address

134 Hybridge Lane.           I wrote it down on a seperate piece of paper and placed it into my pocket. I needed to find Holly and bring her back. I looked over the notes again and something inside my head clicked. 

Why hadn't Holly and I realised this before? But, none of that mattered now, I just needed to get to Holly before it was too late.

I tip-toed downstairs so I wouldn't attract the attention of my parents. I went to open the door only to hear my Dad shout from the living room

'Tommy, where are you going?' He yelled.

'Just out Dad!' I shouted back at him.

'You can't go anywhere son, your mother needs you home' He replied.

'Tough! Im going anyway' I shouted and opened the door wider.

'If you dare Tommy, I swear I will beat the crap outta you!' I knew he ment it. He had done it many times before.  The bruises had only just faded from the last one. But still I walked out the door. Holly was in danger. Her Dad is dangerous and I couldn't bare to see Holly get hurt.

I ran to the bus stop and caught a bus to the train station. I was on my way to save her. I just prayed that I wouldn't get there too late...
