Chapter 3-'Meet the boys?'

*Liam’s POV*

We sat on the couch talking for another ten minutes before the reminder went off on my phone signalling I had to get back to work.

“I’m sorry Kyla, but I have to go. You can stay here if you want, I’ll only be another hour or so.” I said putting my shoes back on.

“Nah its fine, I should go. I’ve got some things I have to do anyway. We can catch up later if you want. Have fun.” Kyla said following me to the door. She leant up and kissed me on the cheek and gave me a hug.

“Thank you for everything”

I hugged her back even tighter and whispered in her ear.

“No problem”

I watched her get into her car and drive away but all I could feel was emptiness. I missed her. I think.....I think I was falling for her. I made a promise to myself right then and there that no matter what happened I was going to protect Kyla and that baby.

*Kyla’s POV*

I arrived home and grabbed out the spare key Nikki had given me. I let myself in and walked up to my room. Well that went better than I thought it would. I can’t believe Liam is going to support me; he is doing a much better job than Joel ever would.

I sat down on my bed, grabbed out ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ and sat down on the floor underneath my window. I put my phone on the windowsill and began to read.

My phone suddenly buzzed on the windowsill, pulling me back to reality. I had just finished reading the part where (A/N-SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT READ) Augustus told Hazel about his cancer returning and I was on an emotional rollercoaster and the pregnancy hormones did not help AT ALL. I reached up for the phone and read the message displayed on the screen. When I saw Liam’s name I smiled, because of today and well because of him.

‘Hey what are you doing tonight?”

I quickly thought ahead to tonight and replied.

“Probably curing a book hangover, why?”

“Aha I think I know the feeling what book?”

“The Fault in Our Stars”

“Oh I get you, I feel for ya bro...Anyway getting off track, want to come to dinner with me and meet the boys?”

I read that last text and my breath hitched. He wanted me to meet his friends? Was I ready to meet them? What would they say when they found out I was pregnant? I thought over all of these questions but my heart wouldn’t miss out on seeing Liam again so before I knew it I texted back simply with.

“Yes”

*Liam’s POV*

“Yes”

I smiled and blushed a little. She wanted to meet my friends....that was a good sign right? Yeah of course it is.

“Oooo Liam’s blushing” Niall cooed noticing my pink cheeks.

“Naw he’s been texting that girl again, haven’t you mate?” Zayn teased

“Wait what? What girl?” Harry asked confused as to why he didn’t know about Kyla.

“It’s Kyla, he hasn’t stopped talking to me about her. That’s where you went during our lunch break isn’t it? You went to see her” Zayn asked feeling smug that he knew before everyone else did. He lived the closest to me and he kind of saw me catching the cab with her.

“Yes Zayn its Kyla and boys yes she is a girl I met a week ago and I want you to meet her. She agreed to come to dinner with us tonight. Please don’t scare her away, I may...possibly like her.....a bit” I stuttered the last bit shocked I was admitting it so close after the Sophiam break up.

“Pfft if she is a nice person and wants you then she has to deal with us. If she can’t then I don’t like her” said Louis sassily.

We all laughed and agreed. Tonight should be great.

*Kyla’s POV*

Nikki was helping my do my hair for dinner tonight. Liam was picking my up in twenty minutes and we were meeting the boys at the restaurant Once Nikki finished straightening my long brown hair and pinned the front bits back. I had done my make-up and walked over to my wardrobe and grabbed a red-ish purple dress. I looked to Nikki signalling her to leave so I could change which she did. I slipped the dress on and paired it with black and silver heels and grabbed my Lion King necklace. Yes I may be 19 but I am IN LOVE with Disney movies. I just finished putting on my earrings when I heard a knock on the door. I quickly re-adjusted my dress before walking down to the door. I saw Nikki chatting to Liam while another person stood by them. He saw me and coughed which caused Liam and Nikki to look. Liam smiled from ear to ear when he saw me and so did Nikki.

“You look beautiful Kyla”

“Why thank you Payne, you clean up nicely too” I said walking over and hitting the tie around his neck.

“And who is this?”

“Hi I’m Louis, you must be Kyla” The mysterious male introduced himself to me. He bowed in front of me as if I was the queen and I giggled but curtseyed back.

“Well let’s get going,” I said checking the time on my phone. “Bye Nik”

She hugged me good bye and waved as we left the house.

I was walked next to Liam as Louis skipped along.

“He’s a bit of an odd child” Liam stated and I giggled.

“I can’t say much but, if I wasn’t in heels I would be skipping to”

“I CALL SHOTGUN”

“Louis Nope”

“What? Why?!” He whined back to Liam

“One, you are going to mess with the radio like you did on the way here, two you are being a child and children must sit in the back and three, the girl has heels on. Its easier to get into the front seat then the back” Liam said, counting the reasons on his finger.

Louis opened his mouth to fight back but realised Liam was right. He opened the door for me and I thanked him then he slumped into the back. Before Liam had even started the car, Louis had started making funny and stupid faces at me in the rear-view mirror, making me laugh but would stop each time Liam looked which made me look like an idiot laughing at nothing. I seriously hope the rest of the night goes like this.
