Chapter Three

*Phoebe's Pov*

"I think there's something going on between them", Linda blurted out.

She was absolutely right. Since Stephanie planned a surprise birthday party with Fred for me, they started becoming so close. There was a time I was with Linda and Henry, then I spotted Fred approaching us, I was so happy when he came over to meet us but to my greatest disappointment he asked where Stephanie was.

when we told him she was in the sick bay, he left quickly looking so worried and he ignored me completely, he's my boyfriend, he's supposed to care for only me. I was so jealous and I knew Henry felt the same way.

I know Stephanie is my friend but I don't know how Henry is coping with her, she gives him attitude and he still adores her, I know she's really pretty and all but I'm getting tired of her attitude.

"I can't afford to loose Fred", I said.

"You sound so desperate right now", Linda said laughing.

"Just let me be", I replied in a low tone, I knew she was enjoying the whole drama.

"Better start getting over him, I think he likes Stephanie", Linda said and I felt the sudden urge to cry, it hurts seeing them together almost all the time. Fred was always coming to my class before, but now I see him going to Stephanie's class more often, It really hurts.

Henry and I tried to make them jealous by getting closer but it didn't work, they didn't seem to be affected at all.

"But Henry and Fred are best friends, I don't think he can steal Stephanie away", I said.

"I feel she likes him to. Look Phoebe, you're my best friend and I don't want your heart to be broken, that is why I don't like boys. Once I  start liking a boy, I force my self to stop. Maybe you and Henry should just like each other again ", she smiled like it was the most brilliant idea in the world.

Yes, Henry and I used to like each other then we stopped talking and then he liked Stephanie. Next thing Fred started to like me, I remember when he was trying his best to win me over. I had told him I still liked Henry and it'll be really weird for me to jump to his best friend. The story is so messed up, I might not know the meaning of love but what I feel for him right now is real. I felt so shattered when I found out Henry liked Stephanie, Fred was always there for me even though they were best friends.

" No, Henry is my past now! I exclaimed.

"I just don't want you getting hurt", she said and I hugged her immediately.

"Let's talk about Sope ", I said, I knew Linda always had something bad to say about people.

"She's actually okay, she's 5'6", Linda said and I rolled my eyes.

She's so obsessed with checking people's height because she feels so insecure about her own height. I saw Fred enter into the class and my eyes brightened immediately. Linda took a deep breath when she saw my reaction.

" I have a feeling something bad is going to happen and you'll be really hurt", she whispered and I just ignored her.

"Phoebe, I missed you", he said smiling as he approached us.

"Me too ", I replied.

Linda then stood up and left us with an irritated  look plastered all over her face.

*Sope's pov*

"Have you heard? " Amina blurted out.

"Heard what?" I replied.

"Brenda is dating a screp ", she said.

"Oh ok", I replied clearly not interested, who cares if a popular girl is dating an unpopular boy, people just like to make a big deal out of little things.
