Veronica's POV:"Just say it to me once before you tell them." I said to Jughead who had rolled his eyes at me.
"I am so sorry, my dear friends, f—" he started but I cut him off. He was going to know that I was serious about this apology.
"Jughead Jones I am not joking! I expect you to apologize to both Betty and Archie before we find out who the black hood is!" I yelled
"Then it looks like I've got plenty of time then." He smirks to himself slightly, and as much as it had pained me to admit it, he was extremely adorable.
He was passionate about everything he did. He was so just and good...even though he was a serpent who rode on a motorcycle, he had a big heart. Every time he smiled, I would melt. It was amazing to see him happy for a change.
"Veronica?" He said and I snapped back into reality.
"Hm?" I said trying to ignore all the thoughts that were in my head.
"I said that I would apologize to them but it seemed as if you weren't paying too much attention."
"Oh, I'm sorry." I stuttered out nervously. I was extremely embarrassed that he had noticed whatever it was I was doing.
Archie's POV:
On my way back home from football practice, a strange car had pulled up right next to me. Inside there was a man with a black suit, looking as if he worked for some high end company.
"Archie Andrews." The man said, however it wasn't a question, he phrased it as a statement meaning he must have known who I was.
I grabbed my book bag tighter, not letting my guard down as the black hood still wasn't caught. "Yeah?" I finally said.
"Agent Adams." he said extending his hand, though he still didn't leave his car. "I work for Hiram Lodge and he is requesting your presence immediately."
This could have easily been a set-up created by the black hood, considering this man was a stranger and I was getting in his car. And even if it hadn't been a set-up, I don't know why I hadn't thought of how strange it was that Hiram Lodge of all people wanted to see me. For all I know, he could want to strangle me for hurting Veronica.
The ride definitely had an awkward tension, but I hadn't got the feeling that my life was at stake. At least not yet, anyways.
When we got to the 'Lodge Residence', I was immediately led into Mr. Lodge's back office.
What my original idea of how this meeting would go...well it wasn't good. I tried not to think about all the ways Hiram Lodge would kill me for hurting his daughter.
However, when I got there, he asked me how things were going between me and Veronica. At first I thought he was joking or testing me, but as our conversation progressed I started to realize that he was far too serious.
"Well, Archie?" He asked, Leaning back in his chair behind his desk.
"We're doing great, sir." I lied, but I didn't know exactly how to tell him that I broke up with his daughter for her best friend.
"Excellent." He said getting up from his chair to sit in the one next to me. "How would you like to become apart of Lodge Industries?"
"L-Lodge Industries? As in your business?" I asked in disbelief
He started chuckling as if it was ridiculous for me to even ask.
"My daughter has recently become apart of the family business...and judging on the way she talks about you, the two of you seem really close."
I nodded, though I couldn't wrap my head around why Ronnie would come home and talk about me in such a nice way when I had been such a lousy boyfriend.
"Welcome to Lodge Industries, Then." He said extending his hand.
There had been something in that handshake...something that could easily cause a disaster for me as I was going into business with an ex-convict at barely 17.

December 27th was the last time I updated and I feel soo bad so I tried to make a decent chapter as fast as I could.
I am not going to drop the black hood, I'm just going to merge it during the time Archie works with Hiram because this season feels like it's all over the place with the black hood, Hiram Lodge, Chic, Cheryl and her story (Which I LOVE), and then the whole thing with the Serpents. I honestly wished they just picked one thing to focus on like Jason's death for season 1.
I am going to try and include everything, however I probably won't go into depth with all of them. (Like the black hood because I think the plot is sort of pointless but I included it in this story incase it becomes important later on.)
Anyways I'm sorry it took me so long to update and I'll try and stay on top of this story more.
TYSM for reading!
