I say tugging his shirt. He smiles and nods. I scoot over so he is not on the edge. He leans to turn off the light. I stopped him because I don't feel comfortable in the dark.

"Sorry just not so comfortable in the dark. "I say. He smiles.

"It's alright. You feel better now?" He asks. I nod. My head is laying on his upper arm and my arm on top of his upper body. I look up at him and he looks down at me. I feel bad that I woke him up.

"Sorry I woke you up." I say. He strokes my hair.

"It's fine. I didn't have the best dream ever either." He says looking away.

"Really? What was it?" I ask.

"That I didn't save you on the day we met, our lives would be different now." He said. That's sadder than mine. What would happen if we didn't meet? I look at him and kiss him. I pull his face close to mine. He is laying sideways with his arm caging me. I pull his arm to form a spooning position.

"Sorry, but we need to sleep to function for the next day. "

"True. You stopped at a good time. I was going to attack you." He says. I chuckle. He moves the hair from my neck and kisses it. It tickles. I move from the spoon and now my body is facing him. Just his body makes me feel protected. I snuggle closer to him. He puts his arm over me. He is so warm. He pulls up the blanket.

"Good night." He says.

"Good night" I repeat.

-Mourning-

I wake up with Grey not next to me. I move my arm which was next to him feeling that silk bed sheets. I open my eyes to see a well-lit room. I got up and walked to the bathroom. My makeup is still on with no smudges. I took off my clothes and entered the shower. I showered last night so I just rinsed off my body and face. I got out and dried off with a towel. I went to the sink and brushed my teeth. I walked out the bathroom with only a towel and put on another basic swimsuit. I put on my old pjs and walked around the cabin. I walked to the kitchen with a smell of eggs and bacon. I see Grey cooking.

"Good mourning." I say. He turned to me surprised.

"You could have slept more. I just got up." He said.

"It's fine. I usually get up around this time." I said. He smiled and continued to cook.

"How did you sleep?" I ask while getting up on the counter.

"Better with you by my side. I haven't slept that good in ages." He said. I smile. I agree. He grabs two plates and toast 2 pieces of bread and gets the butter out. I focus on what he is doing. He is so precise. His swift movement makes me so relaxed. He prepares the meal so carefully. He places 2 bacons, 1 egg, and toast with light butter. I move the plates to the mini bar he has outside the kitchen. I sit in front of my plate. Grey grabs 2 forks. He sits next to me and hands me a fork.

"Thanks. I didn't know you cook." I say while cutting the egg.

"I am no Reynold. I just know the basics" he says. He already took a bite of bacon.
