When she comes out of her dorm the next morning, she's pleased to find several of Tom's friends reading in the common room.

"Good morning, Abraxas!" She beams, and turns to find Tom. "Where's Tom?" Abraxas waves his hand dismissively.

"Off doing his Head Boy duties. How was your first night?"

"Matilda and Araminta talked my ears off for hours. Chaylee and Phyllis at least had the decency to give me a few minutes to myself."

"Oh, you were crammed in with them? Good luck sleeping, from what Chaylee has mentioned, they're up late every night."

"Good morning, Avery." She says to him, and the boy responds by grumbling and inhaling from a pipe.

"Hey, put that away. You're only allowed Dittany in that thing when you're in the castle." Theon mutters, leaning over to inspect his pipe. Avery grins.

"What makes you think it's not Dittany?"

"It reeks of Fluxweed, dumbass." Theon laughs, and Abraxas gives the two a disproving look as Avery blows a mouthful of smoke in Theon's face. Perseus walks in the main doors as opposed to the dorm doors, hair wet.

"Good morning, Lestrange." She says to him.

"Well it certainly is now, now that you've all been graced with my presence. It's alright, take a moment to bask in it." His antics are interrupted by a rather short girl jumping up and smacking him on the back of the had, before she disappears into the girls dorms.

"Lizzie, I will eviscerate you," he warns, before his towering figure ducks beneath the door after her, black hair just brushing the ceiling.

"I heard Lizzie near gave up and almost visited Lucretia last night," Avery grins drowsily, waving a hand towards the door way. "Pining for years." Theon snatches the boy's pipe away, takes a drag, before he vanishes it, much to Avery's dismay.

"You've had enough this morning. You're starting to look greener then usual." Theon mutters, and Avery sneers at him.

"That would be the fantastic Italian genes. Look like an olive, I do. And you look like a good ripe one." Theon laughs, yet smacks Avery anyways.

"You're always such an asshole when you're high." Avery conjures up an olive branch and holds it up next to Theon. "Hm, no, the olive is a bit darker. I'm sure you'll find something though."

"Hermione, would you like me to walk you down to the Great Hall? Just to help you get a feel of the place, its not too hard to navigate once you know everything." Abraxas offers, setting down his book.

"Sure. I'm pretty much ready for breakfast anyways," she replies, and they slip out of the common room just as Avery and Theon start throwing olives at each other. As they step in, a large, cheery looking professor swings by them.

"Abraxas, m'boy! A new lady friend? Now who is this- ah, yes! You must be Miss Hermione Granger the Headmaster told me about. I do look forward to seeing you in the potion dungeon! Now, for timetables... here you are!" He produces them both with a flourish, then toddles off again.

"That would be Professor Slughorn, the Potions Master. Head of Slytherin House, as well." Abraxas comments, staring down at his schedule. "Oh lovely, Defence first, and then Potions. Transfiguration after lunch, and then Divination- they've switched up the timetables, I see. Tomorrow Potions switches with transfiguration, and I have Herbology instead of Divination." It took her a few moments to realize why he was going through the time table so closely, so she could compare without him needing to lean over to see.
