Chapter 6 (Edited)

Brooklynn's POV:

It was 1 in the afternoon. I walked out to my car and texted Beth.

Me: You coming?

Beth: Yeah

Me: Meet meat my car. Hurry.

Beth: Okay!

I opened my door to the back and threw my bag in the seat. I opened the driver side door and got in waiting for Beth. After she got in we sped off. At about 1:20 we pulled up to the doctors office

"I'm scared." She said to me.

"I am too but we'll be okay. I promise." I said gently looking at her.

"What about all the looks? The stares?"

"We won't get any of that. No one, but us, knows why were here. It's fine. Just calm down. Breathe. In. Out. In. Out." She did as I told her and we got out.

"Appointment for Brooklynn McCrary and Beth McMillion please." The nurse handed me two clip boards to fill out. We sat down and I handed her a clip board. After we got done filling them out the doctor called us in.

"Brooklynn McCrary and Beth McMillion." We both stood up and walked toward the short, brown haired nurse. We went into the room and the nurse simply said, "The doctor will be right with you." Then left. About five minutes later the doctor came in.

"Hi. I'm doctor Dean. It says here you two think you're both pregnant?"

"Yes. We took a home pregnancy test and they both came back positive."

"Beth and Brooklynn?"

"Yes. I'm Brooklynn." I stuck my hand out.

"And this is Beth." We shook the doctors hand and he sat down.

"Okay, well we will just make sure so I'm going to need a urine sample from both of you. He handed each of us a cup. I got up and went and got done. Then Beth.

"The results should be in soon. For now we will take your weight, height, and blood pressure. He took both of our weight, height and blood pressure then went to go get the results.

He walked back in and looked at us both with stern looks.

"It looks here like you are both indeed pregnant." I smiled and Beth did too.

"Here is a list of prenatal vitamins I recommend you buy. And avoid drinking any alcohol and wearing heels, unless you want to. Eat normal but don't over eat." We both nodded.

"Okay. When's our next appointment?" Beth asked.

"How about for Brooklynn September 3, then for you, Beth, September 4. That sound okay?"

"Yes." I said.

"Okay." We shook the doctors hand and left. We got into the car and realized it was 2:55 so no sense in going back to school.

"When are we going to tell them?"

"I was thinking the first time we got a sonogram done when we we're 5 months along?"

"Okay." We drove in silence the rest of the way home other then the soft hum of the radio. I dropped Beth off at her house and went home. I ate and did my homework then took a shower and crashed for the night.
