Edward's POV

Watching Leah by moonlight was still as captivating as the first time we'd met in the forest. She was a beautiful angel who extended her hand to me and gave me life, my amazing angel, my wife, and the love of my life. I watched her from afar as she looked up to the moon. She was wearing all white and she had the most pensive look on her face. She having a "conversation" with her father. She would do this when she had a heavy heart and didn't want to burden me with her thoughts. Most of the time I would let her think that her attempts at sparing me were effective, but tonight I listened because the whole day she'd seemed sort of somber. She sat on her blanket in the front yard and picked at the grass after a while she looked over her shoulder and made eye contact with me. She motioned to me with her little pointer finger and I hurried to her as she requested.

"Sit with me," she instructed quietly as she patted a spot next her on the blanket. She nestled herself against me and wrapped her arms around my waist. She took a deep breath and she thought of our now grown looking daughters and remembered them as her babies. She remembered giving birth to them in the tub alone. Now she felt since they were grown they no longer belonged to her.

"They are still your children Leah," I whispered and kissed her on the top of her head.

"Yeah …," she said with a raspy tone. "Did you see them in the pictures today? They are women Edward and I'm sure they both think as women do. They no longer need my guidance and I'm sure they want their freedom." Leah wiped a tear from her cheek. "It's not fair I have to let go so soon!" I rubbed her back allowed Leah to release some of her frustration before telling her how untrue her thoughts were.

"Both of our girls love and respect you. They ask you more hard life question than they do me and I've lived much longer that you have. I could be jealous of that," I chuckled and Leah just looked up at me and then positioned herself so she could wrap my arms around her.

"Did you see the way they both scrambled out of here after our family portraits were finished? Both of them have better places to be," Leah mused.

"You know Liz had planned to hang out with Embry tonight and Sky … well she just prefers being alone most of the time. It's really a normal characteristic for a vampire to prefer solitude." Leah nodded and then closed her eyes and took another deep breath.

"I'm not crazy I know she's quieter than Liz but Sky is hurting. I can't believe my little girl is still holding onto the hurt that came with her first crush. It was years ago … maybe it's because she hasn't been around any other men to have new feelings for anybody else." Leah's mind went to work, now that Skylar was older she could go out and experience the world. It would be best for both girls if they were to go so and have more interactions than just the family.

"You can't worry about this but so much Leah. Skylar and Liz both are smart enough to protect themselves, you raised them that way. What brought this all on?" I asked because I was really confused.

"Tomorrow we're having that damned coming of age party, but all day I've just been thinking all of this is too soon. I just keep remembering them crawling around and barely being able say words."

"You want another baby?" She looked up at me shocked and she really gave it some thought. She mentally confessed to kind of wanting to go through it again. She wanted me by her side experiencing the whole thing with her. I nodded and gave a slow smirk.

"I have no problem with getting you pregnant Mrs. Cullen, but I would like to take you away and explore the world with you first. We have a whole eternity to live together but wouldn't like a moment for us to just be alone?"

"Yeah, I like the idea of that too." She smiled. "Actually when you put it that way Edward it doesn't seem so bad the girls being grown." She leaned in and kissed me. I swiftly changed our positions so she was now pinned between me and our blanket. I kissed her fully and passionately under the moonlight and when our kiss she whispered those four little words that made being her husband so gratifying.
