Chapter 10

3 Years Later

Graduation Day

Hunter's POV

I'm standing in a gymnasium that's full of loving parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The day has come for Kati and Eli to graduate. Kati decided that she wanted to go back to the public school instead of being home schooled. Eli transferred from Phoenix High School to the high school up here in Nashville.

"And now the graduates will receive their diplomas." the principle said.

I zoned out until Cassidy hit my arm and said, "Are you listening? The twins are next."

"Eli Hayes. Son of Hunter and Cassidy Hayes." Mr. Johnett announced. "Kati Hayes. Daughter of Hunter and Cassidy Hayes."

"That's my brother and sister!" Ella squealed before the next name was called.

"Good timing El." I said, smiling. We watched the rest of the ceremony quietly. When it was done, we went out of the gym and waited for the twins.

"Mom! Dad!" Kati yelled, running down the hall towards us.

"Hey! What'd ya do with your brother?" I asked, giving her a hug.

"He's finding Ashton." she said, looking behind her. "Oh, there you are Lan! I was looking for you!"

"Hey guys!" Landon greeted.

"So you graduated today to I see." I said, laughing.

"Yup! Finally out of here!" Landon said, smiling.

"Congrats!" Cassidy said, smiling.

"Thanks Cassidy." he said, laughing.

"Mommy! I want a picture with Kati!" Ella, now nine, exclaimed.

"Ok, so picture time?" Cassidy asked, smiling.

"Yes!" Kati exclaimed, laughing.

"Ok, well Ella wants a picture first so get over there El!" I said, laughing. 

"Kati, I'm almost as tall as you!" Ella said, smiling.

"Shut it El." Kati said, laughing. We continued taking pictures until we were done.

"It that all now Kati?" Cassidy asked.

"I think so!" Kati said, standing in front of Landon.

"Kat, you are really short." Landon said, laughing.

"Gee, thanks you guys." Kati said, laughing.

"We love you Kati!" someone said from behind us. We all turn around to see Cassidy's dad standing there.

"Grandpa!" Kati yelled , running between Cassidy and I. "I knew you'd come." she gave him a huge hug.

"Dad you did come. I though you were busy." Cassidy stated confused.

"I couldn't miss my grandchildren graduate from high school!" he said, smiling. "Now where's Eli?"

"Grandpa?" Eli asked. He walked closer to where Kati was still standing next to Ryan. Eli gave him a huge hug just like Kati did.

 "I've missed you guys." Ryan said to all of us. "So are you going to explain to me who these fine young man and lady are?"

"Oh, Grandpa, this is my boyfriend, Landon. Landon, this is my Grandpa." Kati said, smiling.

"And this is Ashton, my girlfriend. Ash, this is my Grandpa." Eli explained.

"Hi Grandpa! I'm Landon." Landon said, smiling.
