Kati's POV

"Hey Landon." I mumbled, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"Hey baby, did ya sleep well?" he asked, kissing the top of my head.

"Yeah, I did." I said, smiling. "So what do ya wanna do today?"

"Well, we haven't gone on a date for a while. So wanna go on a date today?" Landon asked, smiling.

"I'd love to." I said, smiling. "What time tonight?" We sat up in my bed and looked at the time.

"Well my lady, I'd love to take you on a lunch date." he said, smiling. "How does that sound?"

"It's a deal. Now what time is it?" I ask, reaching for my phone.

"It's about 10:30 right now." Landon said, rubbing circles on the back of my hand. "Think you'll be ready by noon?"

"I think so. Where are we going?" I asked, checking twitter.

"You'll see." he said, smiling.

"But I don't like surprises!" I complained.

"You're gonna like this surprise though." he said, smiling. "Now you better go get ready. You can dress casual, but look nice."

"Ok." I said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you later." I got up and walked into the bathroom to look at what I had to deal with today. I brush through the wavy mess and plugged in my straightener. I walked back into my room and into my closet. I chose a simple sundress. It was coral and fell to just above my knees. I choose some black sandals to match my dress. I returned to the bathroom to tame the waviness of my hair. I run the straightener through my hair until it was the style I wanted it. I pull some hair into a waterfall braid and called it good on my hair. I checked the time and it was already 11:30. I pull out my make-up and take out my concealer. I put on little mascara and eyeliner.

By the time I was done perfecting everything, it was already noon. "Kat, are you ready?" Landon asked from my bedroom.

"Yeah." I said, walking out of the bathroom. "You ready?"

"I was born ready!" Landon said, laughing. "You look beautiful by the way." Landon walked up and placed a quick kiss on my lips.

I smiled into the kiss before asking, "Shall we go?" He took my smaller hand in his larger one and smiled.

"We shall my lady." he said, smiling. We walked downstairs to the family room.

"Hey daddy." I said, smiling.

"Hey Kati. Where are y'all going?" dad asked, looking up from his guitar.

"We're going on a date." Landon said, smiling.

"Ok, I won't hold y'all here any longer. Have fun. I'll see you guys when ya get home." dad said, smiling.

"Ok, bye daddy." I said, giving him a hug. "Tell everybody else I said hi!"

"Ok, have fun guys!" dad said, shooing us out the door.

We climbed up into his truck and he turned it on. "Kat, put this on." he said, handing me a blindfold.

"Uh, ok." I said, taking the blindfold from his grasp. I put it on and waited for the truck to pull out of the driveway. There was some shuffling before we pulled out onto the road. "Why do I gotta where this?"

"Because I said so." Landon said, laughing. "It's not a long drive anyways Kat."

I smile and begin to wonder where he's taking me. We drive for about fifteen minutes longer before Landon said I could take off the blindfold. "Downtown Nashville?" I question.
