"This is our first Christmas together," Nicole said as she looked at her fiancé as they lay in bed together, her head rested on his shoulder as he held her close; he nodded his head as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head.

The couple knew that this was going to be an interesting Christmas, they hadn't really put much thought into what they were going to do for their first holidays together; instead they had focused on making sure that their son was prepared for his first Christmas.

"The first of many," the footballer promised her, Nicole looked up at Cristiano allowing him to kiss her; she smiled into the kiss knowing that he wasn't going to allow anything to come between them this time and she wasn't going to let it happen either.

The couple had only been engaged for just over a week now and their families had been thrilled for them; they were going to have an engagement party in a couple of days, their families were thrilled for them even if they didn't know about the letter that Jesse had sent.

"Feliz Natal," Cristiano said as he pulled back from Nicole, he brushed some hair from her face knowing that everything would be okay.

He didn't care what it took and he knew that he would spend the rest of his life making sure that he showed her just how much she meant to him.

"Feliz Navidad," Nicole replied as she moved to kiss him, she wrapped her arms around his neck and moved closer to him; it was the middle of the night and in a few hours' time they would have to get up.

Cristiano held Nicole close, he couldn't wait to spend his first Christmas not only with her but with their son; he knew that Antony wouldn't know what was going on but he wanted everything to go well.

Nicole smiled to herself as she walked into the living room and watched Cristiano sat under the Christmas tree with their son; Kodiak sat nearby watching the footballer helping the two month old open his Christmas presents.

The brunette was wearing a red cropped jumper with black sheer insert and black bodycon skinny jeans paired with black mono high top trainers; she sat down on the couch knowing that while Antony didn't know what was going on.

"What's this?" Cristiano cooed as he continued to open presents with his son, he grinned as Nicole took a picture of the two of them; she had become a little addicted to carrying a camera now that their son had been born, she wanted to take a picture of everything.

Cristiano looked over at his fiancée, he loved that she adored their son and he hoped that they had more children in the future; he wanted a big family and he knew that the brunette shared this feeling.

They'd both come from families were they'd had a number of siblings and they loved the idea of having more themselves; the footballer wanted at least another son and a little girl, he loved the idea of having a daughter to spoil as much as he wanted a son to follow in his footsteps.

"What time is your abuela coming around?" Cristiano asked as he looked at his fiancée, he knew that Nicole's grandmother wanted to meet her new great grandson and with his family all back in Portugal.

The footballer was a little nervous since he wasn't sure how to react around the Italian since she didn't speak a lot of Spanish and preferred to speak Italian when she spoke with her grandchildren.

"This afternoon," Nicole said as she looked at him while she ran her fingers through Toby's fur, she knew that everything was going to be okay.

They had made sure that everything was perfect for their first Christmas and the brunette was determined to make them the best Christmas dinner.

The footballer nodded his head knowing that he shifted Antony on his lap, he looked down at his son knowing that the little boy was his world right now; he was the light that had brought them back together and Cristiano was grateful that he had.

Nicole watched her fiancé, she couldn't help but mess with her engagement ring as she thought about everything that had happened in the past year; she was a little surprised at how much she had changed.

"What time do you want dinner?" the brunette asked softly making Cristiano, she had spent the day before preparing everything and there was only a little left to do now.

She had been a force of nature and had kicked him out of the kitchen as she prepared the turkey and other things for their Christmas dinner.

"Whenever you are ready," Cristiano said, he knew that she had worked hard and he was a little excited to see how well she had pulled off Christmas dinner; he wanted to help her in anyway but she was currently refusing his help since she wanted to do this herself.

Nicole smiled at Cristiano as she entered the living room with her grandmother, she knew that he still got nervous when it came to Penelope; he didn't know what to say most of the time when it came to the elderly woman.

"How have you been Nonna?" the brunette asked as she showed her grandmother to a seat, she knew that Cristiano would appreciate that she hadn't spoken in complete Italian.

The brunette moved to sit down next to her fiancé who was holding Antony close to him, she offered him another reassuring smile; she knew that he got nervous when it came to meeting her grandmother especially after what had happened between him and Nicole.

"Sto bene caro... ora fammi vedere mia pronipote," Penelope replied making Nicole smile at her, she nodded her head as she looked at Cristiano who suddenly seemed completely confused.

She didn't blame him since her grandmother rarely spoke anything other than her native tongue.

Gently handing Antony over to Penelope, Nicole watched as her grandmother expected her son before she settled back onto the couch and continued to talk in Italian.

The brunette brushed her fingers against Cristiano's arm trying to sooth him at her grandmother's words, she knew how hard this was for him.

Cristiano smiled at her warily not sure what the elderly woman was saying to his son, he was aware that this was how she felt when his family spoke Portuguese around her; she was learning and was trying her best to get better at speaking his native language.

"He looks just like my Alfred," Penelope declared making Cristiano raise an eyebrow at his fiancée who shrugged; her grandfather had been called Lorenzo, just like her father so she had no idea where that had come from.

Penelope continued to coo at Antony in Italian, she was glad that everything that had worked out between her only granddaughter and her fiancé; she had seen how bad the break-up had been for Nicole and she was pleased to see that they had made things work.

Cristiano was clearly what made Nicole happy and Penelope would do anything to make sure that they stayed together; she owed it to her son and Antony to make them stay together.
