Toby yawned as he curled up by Nicole's feet as they watched Cristiano doing laps of the indoor heated swimming pool; the brunette was wearing a black and white contrast swimsuit as she lounged by the poolside.

Nicole let out a small yawn and continued to try and read her book; she had been feeling more tired than usual but she passed it off as after effects of her chemotherapy.

Cristiano stopped at the end of the pool and looked at Nicole, who pretended to ignore him; she knew that today was his birthday but she didn't want to ruin the surprise that his mother had planned.

"Coli why don't you join me in the pool?" Cristiano asked innocently as he looked at his girlfriend, he had also noticed some changes in her body since she had stopped chemo and he hoped that these were good signs that she was getting better.

Nicole looked up at him and shook her head even if she did feel warm today, she didn't fancy getting into the pool with what Dolores had planned for tonight; she had organised a party for Cristiano who was meant to be preparing for some internationals.

"I'm fine here Gracias," the brunette said watching as Cristiano pulled himself out of the pool and made his way over to her, Nicole watched as several drop-lets of water trail down his chest.

She swallowed as she forced her attention from her boyfriend of twenty-five weeks and back to her book.

Cristiano grinned as he stopped in front of her before he quickly reached down and took the book from Nicole and closed it before he tossed it away from them.

He knew that she had forgotten his birthday and he didn't mind right now since she'd had a lot on her mind in the past few months.

Nicole looked annoyed at her boyfriend, who grinned at her innocently making her realise what he planned to do with her; she glared at him as she quickly got to her feet and moved away from him.

"Don't you dare Cris," Nicole warned him as he quickly made a grab for her, he grinned as he pulled his girlfriend to him; he lifted her up into his arms and walked towards the pool with the brunette struggling in his arms.

"Don't," Nicole squeaked before Cristiano dumped her into the pool and dived in after her; the brunette came to the surface and glared at him while Cristiano swam towards her and backed her into the pool side with a smile on his face.

"See isn't this better," Cristiano said as he pressed himself against Nicole, who shivered at the contrast of his warm body and the cold wall behind her; the brunette wrapped her arms around Cristiano's neck and pulled him into a kiss.

Nicole shifted nervously as Cristiano drove towards his mother's house, she could tell that he was starting to get annoyed that she still hadn't even mentioned his birthday; the brunette did feel a little guilty about all of this but she knew that it would be worth it in the long run.

Nicole had chosen to wear a red shift dress with cold shoulder and batwing sleeves paired with black chain barely there sandal; she had wanted to look casual but nice since she didn't want her boyfriend to suspect anything.

Nicole smiled as they pulled up outside Dolores's house and looked at Cristiano, who sighed and un-did his seatbelt; he hadn't really spoke to her since she had announced that they needed to go to his mother's house since she'd left her phone there.

"Come on then," Nicole said cheerfully knowing he was starting to get annoyed with her having forgotten his birthday.

Cristiano glared at her before following her out of the Ferrari 599 and up to the front door; making the brunette smile at how well she had done, she just hoped that he wouldn't stay mad for too long at her part in all of this.
