[A/N]

Hey there readers! I'll be updating pretty often now since I have a week of school break. Please leave a comment and let me know how do you think of the book so far. Enjoy reading. :)

Kim Minji POV

The next day of school arrives. Here it goes again. Another day of homework to be done, classes to attend, and the worst of all, people to deal with. If it weren't for my best friends, I guess I'd have a pretty boring school life and surviving this school would be tough.

I got out from my school after doing my business and head downstairs just to hear familiar banging and slamming. Why am I not surprised? Of course not, it's my parents doing their same daily routine. The same never ending cycle of arguments.

Sometimes I feel like I have the urge to stop them but I know that I'll be making things even worst. The last time I went to stop the both of them, I was being blamed for the reason they're fighting when I didn't even do anything wrong. At least I did tried. After what happened the other time, I remembered I stayed in my room for the whole week but regain my strength back thanks to my friends for coming over to check on me. I don't know what I'd do without them.

I woke up extra early thanks to my parents being so loud and noisy. I then left home earlier to school today because I got fed up with my parents. I pulled the handle of the door and walked to school instead of taking the bus. The weather is quite good today so I decided to enjoy the fresh air to clear off my thoughts. I closed my eyes, shoving my hands into my pockets and enjoy the cool air until I bumped into someone.

I opened my eyes just to see someone I don't wish to see. It's the devil himself, Park Jimin. My schoolmate, my classmate and what's even worst, my seatmate. My seatmate who is now dating a bitch in my school. "Oh hey there, I didn't knew you live nearby for you to walk to school today." He seems so nice on the outside but an actual devil on the inside? Not falling for this. But I'll just play with it since he didn't do anything wrong to me.

"Oh yes. The weather's quite good today so I decided to walk to school. Walking is great exercise and exercising is great." I said and gave a smile. He then laughs. His laughs are so cute? 'No, stop it. Don't. He's a devil. Someone you wouldn't even want to get involved with.' "Anyways why are you walking this way? School is the other way and I believe I'm heading to the right way?" I asked, curious. "Oh yes, but I wanted to have breakfast before school. I haven't ate yet. There's about 40 minutes left til school starts." he said.

"Oh, I see." "I haven't ate myself either." I mumbled. "Well you're early. How about you join me for breakfast and we walk to school together?" he offered. "What? No thank you but thanks for the offer! I already ate this morning." I said. "Don't lie. I heard you mumbling. It's fine, my treat. Take it as an appreciation meal for teaching me yesterday. You really did helped me a lot for my homework last night." "No it's fine, I don't -" before I could finish my sentence, Jimin started dragging me along with him to the other side of the road where he was heading.

[At the Restaurant]

We then sat on a table and looked at the menu. "Just order anything you want, it's my treat after all, I insist." Jimin said and smiled at me. "Alright then." I said. Not long later an old woman approached us, taking orders from us. She looks really old and it seems like she's the only person running this restaurant right now. I guess it's still early for the employees to arrive.

"Ahjumma, good morning!" exclaimed Jimin. They know each other? "Why if it isn't my favourite customer Jimin! How are you today?" the woman asked. "I'm doing great, just having breakfast before school as usual." said Jimin. "I see. Now who is this pretty lady you brought today. Is this your girlfriend? She's really pretty." she then observed my face while smiling at me.

I then exchanged glances with Jimin. "Ah no no, ahjumma. You just misunderstood. We're just classmates. We bumped into each other earlier and decided to have breakfast together." I explained. "Yeah, yeah. She's right" said Jimin while smiling. "Aww, that's sad. You both look perfect together." I then gave an awkward laugh. She then took our orders and the ahjumma went to cook for us.

After making orders there was pure silence surrounding us. Jimin then spoke up. "I've been eating at this restaurant since I was a child." I then looked at him. "When I was a child, my father always brought me here because he knows I love the food at this place." he said all of the sudden. "Do you always eat here before heading to school then?" I asked him. "I don't know if you know this but I transferred to our school this year and I started eating here since yesterday because it's been a long time." he said.

"Ohh." I said, pretending not to know that he transferred here with his nasty friends. "My last school was quite far away from here so I don't get to eat here much often ever since I started high school." I paid attention to him. "When I found out our school was near to this restaurant, I was really happy that I'd get to see ahjumma and eat the food here more often again." he said.

"Does your dad still bring you to eat here?" I asked with full of curiosity. He then gave me a small smile and that's when I immediately regretted asking him that. Then I knew something was wrong with him and his dad. I wanted to ask him but I don't think I should, since we aren't really that close.

I quickly changed the topic to clear the intense atmosphere. "I never ate here before. It's my first time here." I said. I really have never been here although I live nearby this place. "Trust me, the food here is really good. The ahjumma from earlier runs this place on her own. Her husband used to run this restaurant with her but after he passed away, she runs it on her own." he said.

"That's really sad. I feel sorry for her. But why doesn't she hire employees to help her out? She's old and she shouldn't be working too hard. It's not good for her health." I asked. "She doesn't make enough money to pay for her employees now since less and less people come to this restaurant these days." Jimin said. "But why though?" I asked. "I'm not sure but this is how business is. When people get bored of the food you serve, they wouldn't want to eat it anymore. Just like life. When you get bored of someone, you dump them away because they happen to be useless already." he said. My eyes widened at his statement. I don't know what is he trying to say but all I know is that his statement applies to him.

"Yeah, I guess that's how life works." I said looking at him. I don't really have experience in love so I can't really say anything or give any opinions. I then stayed quiet. Not long later the ahjumma came out with our food and she served us along with our drinks. We then thanked her for the food and enjoyed it. I have to admit that her cooking is really good. How can people even get bored of this heaven.

After eating, Jimin paid for the meal and hugged the ahjumma. So Jimin wasn't lying when he said he used to come here often with his father when he was a child. The ahjumma and him seemed really close. I bowed at her before we left. We then walked to school together.

We kept talking and laughing while heading to school together. Come to think of it, he's really easy to get along with. Once we reached the entrance, I turned to face him. "Thanks for the meal. The food was really good." I said. "Let's eat together next time if we happen to bump into each other again." he offered. "Alright. See you in class." I said. He nodded and we parted ways. Jimin wasn't as bad as I thought he would be but why does he seem like another person when it comes to being with his friends and his girlfriend.

I went to find my friends at the hallways. They're probably somewhere there. Those girls. Tsk. When I was looking for Ri Hyo and Yuna, someone walked pass me and purposely hit my shoulder with hers, causing my books to fall to the ground and I was ready to apologize but when I look to my side, it happened to be someone who I didn't expected it to be.
