Chapter 9 : Caught

Hello! I haven't been updating because of mid-term exams and I'm glad I went through it all! Now that it's over for now, I'll try to update as much as I can. Please wait for me and don't go anywhere. 😘

Kim Minji POV

"Hey wait up, Minji!" Jimin came running after from behind of me. I looked back at the familiar voice shouting for my name. I was confused at first of why did he followed me. A few seconds later it then hit me. I realized I promised him last night that I would get breakfast with him today and I totally forgot about it the day after.

"Yah! Minji-ah! I thought you would wait for me at the same spot we bumped into each other the other day!" said Jimin while panting for air. I opened my eyes wide at his words. "Uhm, honestly I forgot about today's breakfast. Sorry." I said, apologizing.

"How can you forget?" asked Jimin, eyes full of curiosity. "My mind is wandering somewhere far these days and it's not functioning well as usual." I explained.
"What's wrong?" He asked.

I looked at him and we exchanged glances with each other. I can't tell him my problems when one of my problems include himself. How am I suppose to cover this up? I shook my head, reassuring him. "It's nothing huge. Just worried about my studies." I said, quickly making up an excuse that seems convincing.

"You're doing great. There's nothing to be worried of. Well, at least better than I do." He said. I smiled at him and continued walking while being lost in my thoughts.

[At The Restaurant]

Jimin opened the door for me and we went into ahjumma's restaurant for breakfast. God, I'm starving. I entered the restaurant and I heard chattering. That's weird. I thought Jimin said people barely even come here and it's still early in the morning? Work hasn't even started yet and students won't even come to eat at places like this.

"Hyung! Over here!" a guy said loudly. I turned to the direction of the voice and saw familiar faces that I don't want to see. My mouth dropped open mentally and I turned around to look at Jimin. I thought it was only the two of us but there is bangtan, waiting for Jimin and I feel unwelcomed because I don't even know them personally.

Jimin lifted his hand and touched my shoulder, calming me down. "Relax. They are my friends and they are nice." he said to me. "Coming!" He responded to one of them. I then said to him. "But I thought it was just the two of us? And I don't even know your friends." I said, worried. "Oh come on, don't be worried." He then pushed me to where bangtan is sitting.

All eyes are on me and I looked up to the side trying to get Jimin to help me because I feel anxious with these boys. Then I remembered what Ri Hyo said to me about not to get involved with these guys. I gulped hard.

"Kim Minji. My seatmate. This is Namjoon hyung, that is Seokjin hyung but you can just call him Jin hyung, that one is Yoongi hyung, that's Hoseokie hyung and these two are Taehyung and Jungkook. " He introduced me to Bangtan.

The atmosphere was tense and awkward. All I can think of is to get myself eaten by a crocodile and let myself be swallowed up so I can just disappear from this world instead of worrying about myself getting involved with people I don't wish to get involved with, let alone be nearby with.
