Summertime Love (A Kalin and Myles Fanfic)

Chapter 7

-CHAPTER 7-

Everyone stands still in shock as more and more employees run over to see what happened. The waiter himself is shocked at what he just did. I look at Myles and he's lying unconscious. I can't speak or move, I'm just in pure shock. I hear Kalin on the phone with 911 he seems so worried. Once the ambulances arrive they take Myles onto a stretcher. I didn't know how to react. I ran out to the car, sat down and bust into tears. Jackie came to the car a couple minutes after and hugged me as I cried on my shoulder. Kalin came to the car after a few minutes. He looked like he had been crying for a while.

"We should go to the hospital and check on Myles." He says.

I nod in agreement and wipe my eyes. I don't want Myles to see how torn up I am, and I am praying that he is okay. When we get to his room he is laying down. He looks really scraped up and weak, but his eyes are open, and he looks almost happy. He is talking to a skinny girl with long legs and tan skin. I wonder who it is.

I slowly start walking closer to the door. I faintly hear his voice, it's weak.

"I'm really glad I got to see your face again," he says smiling, but struggling with each word. I freeze and turn around choking back the tears. Was everything we had and every word he told me a lie? I wanted so bad to feel sorry for him, but right now it's getting harder and harder. Jackie and Kalin see me walking down the hospital hallway and Jackie stops me.

"Alexa! What's wrong is he okay?"

I look down and try to walk away before breaking down

"Talk to me!" She says

"He's with another girl!" I yell back

"What? That's not true," Kalin replies

"Go to his room. He's with this girl. Shes so much prettier than me. I should've never thought I had a chance."

"If we go to his room, you're coming with," Jackie demands.

Eventually I agree reluctantly to go with.

Kalin seems confused, but also sad.

"So he's okay though?" Kalin asks

"I couldn't tell.. he's awake but is having a hard time talking and is really scraped up."

We all walk into the room and Myles face lights up to see us. The girl is still there, but he greets us as if she weren't. Kalin tears up from seeing Myles, but I think they're tears of joy. Jackie hugs him. "I'm so glad you're doing well."

I slowly walk over to his bed, he reaches out for a hug and whispers "I'm so glad you're here."

I pull away and give him a dirty look. I then look at the girl and she's just smiling at me. I don't know what to think of this.. Who is she, and what's going on..?
