Summertime Love (A Kalin and Myles Fanfic)

Chapter 9

-CHAPTER 9-

I get home and soon after Jackie asks me to hangout. I don't really want to third wheel with her and Kalin, and I know she's going to want to invite him. I say yes even though I don't really want to, mostly because I know if I sit at home all night I won't be able to get myles off my mind, and without Jackie there's no way I'm going to make other plans. I'm just not the type of person to ask others if they want to hangout. I think I'm scared of them not wanting to be with me. So I go to Jackie's house and surprisingly instead of her asking if I mind if kalin comes, we hang out with a few of our other girl friends from school. We watched funny movies and caught up on how everyone has been spending our summers. Jackie and I usually didn't hangout with a lot of our school friends often, because we liked branching out with other people during the summer, well mostly just Jackie. We all slept over at Jackie's, and didn't get to sleep until around 4 am, but I woke up around 9 am because my phone kept vibrating underneath my pillow. I checked and had 4 missed calls and 3 unread texts all from Myles.
"Goodmorning beautiful. call me when you wake up I have good news"
"Go look at your front door when you wake up babe"
"Wake up I'm bored :("
Seeing his name on my phone made me smile instantly.
I left the room so I didn't wake anyone up and called him, he answered within one ring.
"Alexa! hi!"
He sounded excited to talk to me, it was cute.
"Hey, what's going on?" I say with a little laughter
"They let me out of the hospital early, because I improved a lot last night. I wanna see you today."
"That's great! I'm at Jackie's right now, but I'll go home and get ready soon," I reply.
"Ok, come over when you're ready, I can't do much besides lay around." He tells me
"I don't mind, as long as I'm with you," I say back
"You're cute," he says "See you soon."
No matter what he says to me I always seem to have a smile on my face when were talking.
I go grab my stuff and go downstairs to get home. Once I get in my car I text! Jackie to let her know what's going on. I get home and see flowers at the front door. There is a card attached to them that says "Can't wait to spend my whole day with you :) -Myles" I can't help but smile, and i get a rush of butterflies in my stomach. It's the sweetest thing anyone has done for me before, because those little thing always seem to make me the most happy. After I read the card I go inside. I decide to take a quick shower and put my hair in two French braids so it gets more wavy when I take them out. I eat cereal for breakfast and go back to my room to he dressed and put on makeup. Since we are probably just going to watch movies and talk at Myles' house I put on coral pink running shorts and a black v neck. I'm done getting ready by 10am, but I want to give my hair more time to dry so I don't leave my house until around 11. Once I get to myles house I take out my braids, make sure I look okay, and ring the doorbell. Jake comes to the door.
