Chapter 11: the escape? Pt.2

They were running and running until they were tired.
"Jeez *pant* you guys are *pant* fast" Jo said, he was now on the floor trying to catch his breath. The two dwarfs only smirked at each other.
"What did you expect? Anyway. We stopped exactly at the right moment" Anne and Fre pointed up only to see another trapdoor, this time with a ladder attached to it. Fre was the first one to climb the ladder, she turned her head left and right to check if everything was safe.
"Okay. It's save guys, come on!" Fre said as she started to climb out, Amy was the next one. She climbed out of the hole, they were in another clothing store, except it was dark and completely closed, it was also smaller than Klijding. The others soon came after Amy and Anne closed the trapdoor.
"This was the first Klijding, we started the shop here until we had enough money to buy a bigger place, this place is closed since then." The dwarfs explained.
"From here on out we have to travel through the crowd. But don't worry we're almost out of the city" Anne ad Fre said.

'This is gonna be a long day' Amy thought. She was a little bit scared, but this is the only way out of Hyacinth.
"Here" Fre and Anne gave Amy and Jo both cloaks, they also had cloaks on.
"With these cloaks we can move easier around Hyacinth, since almost everybody wears one on Monday"
"But what about the wooden boards on the doors and windows? We don't have a crowbar or anything like that in here" Jo asked, but the dwarfs though it out.
"Actually we have a crowbar" Anne said and she pulled a crowbar from her cloak, Amy and Jo were really confused now. 'Wha- bu-but how?!' Amy thought, how could she not see a crowbar in a cloak?! How did she even put a crowbar in the cloak in the first place? There weren't any pockets in the cloak itself. In the mean time the dwarfs were trying to get the wooden boards off of one of the doors.
"Help would be nice" Anne said sarcastically.
"O-oh Yeah. Coming!" Jo said apologetically, he grabbed the crowbar out off Anne's hand and immediately gets off one of the wooden boards.
"There we go. These boards are relatively easy to move" Jo said while he got off the other wooden boards of the once blocked door were removed the friend could now finally pass the door, it was a big glass door with on the inside written 'Klijding' in big bold letters.
"Okay then. Here we go" the dwarfs were the first one to pass the door, Jo and Amy were close after.

The dwarfs were right, everybody was wearing a cloak. Well most of the people, some of them were just wearing their own clothes. "So everyone is wearing cloaks. That's actually really weird, why do people do that?" Amy asked wondering why people are wearing cloaks on a Monday.
"We actually don't know....it's something about demons or so." The dwarfs said also not knowing why everyone does this. But that didn't matter, they had to move onward. They started walking through the crowd in the market, since it was pretty crowded, they wouldn't be recognized. 'I wonder what this 'Sorrel' place is. I guess I have to ask the others later about it.' Amy really wanted to know if her 'mother' was right, she couldn't just trust everybody. Although when she met Anne and Fre she had this strange eerie feeling around them... Amy shook the thoughts away as they were standing in front of another entrance to this place. Once again a guard stood on the humongous iron gate looking down at the four friends, there were also some humans and monsters standing besides them.
"ALRIGHT GUYS! OPEN THE GATE!" The guard yelled, and the gate opened up almost immediately. The four friends and the others passed through the gate rather easily. This was very weird for Amy 'strange wouldn't they have extra guards or something to check the city? Maybe Avon and his crew didn't return yet. But that doesn't matter now, we have a long journey ahead of us-' "STOP THEM!" Amy thought they were out of the city but oh boy was she wrong! Amy thoughts were interrupted by.... you guessed it! everyone's favorite bear in this book! Avon!

Fre grabbed Amy's hand and dragged them off the path and into the woods.
"We knew this would happen, Avon is really determined to catch and kill you Amy" Fre said, the dwarfs begun climbing up a tree, so did Amy and Jo.
"If we hide here for a while he can't find us, we just have to sit still and wait."

A few hours passed by as the four friends were still sitting in the same tree. The sun began to set, weirdly enough this day was going quicker than the last one.
"Okay we're going to check if everything is safe okay? Just stay here and stay silent." But what happened next was rather unexpected for all of them.
