Fallen

I remember when I was falling, I couldn't scream or struggle in the air. I just fell. Arms open, hair flying around my face. I could see the top of the hole get smaller and smaller until it was just small enough for my finger. Then my world went black.

"OMG Determination are you okay?!" I heard a voice scream, probably Patience.

"S-step back! She needs her space since she'll probably wake up very surpris-"

But then I realized what had happened. "AAAAAAAHHHHHHHhhhhh..... oh hey guys whats up." I screamed, then trailed off. Trying to sound like I didn't just yell my head off on flat ground. Perseverance rolled his eyes. "Told you." He boasted. I looked around, and seemed like I had fallen on a pile of yellow flowers that looked like buttercups. "Woah, did these ACTUALLY save our lives?" Perseverance looked disgusted. "YES. And it was NOT recorded in SCIENCE that these could actually save your life! These flowers must be magic or something, which isn't possible, because magic doesn't exist, to have broken our fall! It is scientifically impossible for a plant so delicate as these...." He continued his spiel, without the attention of the rest of the kids.

"Hey guys! Check it out! I found a doorway!" Integrity called, reminding me of what happened at the top of the mountain. I wasn't sure I wanted to check it out, wondering if it was a trap. For some reason, I followed the rest of the kids, with Perseverance still talking. Peer pressure, I guess.

When we entered the new room, there was a strange light coming from nowhere, shining on a patch of grass. In the middle of the grass patch, there stood a smiling yellow flower that looked like the ones which we fell on. Perseverance did not like the break through science. And I didn't like the way the flower was smiling at me. Kindness was the first to speak up.

"Um, excuse me, but were you the one who put the flowers there by the hole?" He asked, with a slight smile on his face, trying to be friendly. The flower ignored him.

"Wow-You ALL came here together! You must be new to the Underground, arent'cha? Golly! You must be so confu-"

"HEY! ARE YOU A MONSTER!" Bravery called out, pushing us out of the way to stand in front of the flower, fists clenched. The flower smiled widely.

"Why, I'm not a monster silly!" Bravery didn't believe that for a second. He took a couple swings at the flower but he easily dodged away. "WELL THEN WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU?" Bravery shouted, still swinging his arms widely. The flower winked.

"I'm FLOWEY! FLOWEY the FLOWER! And you must be SO CONFUSED if you think..." White pellets formed around Flowey. They looked dangerous, and he looked MAD. "YOU CAN BEAT ME!" Flowey laughed evilly and the pellets started flying towards us. I easily dodged mine, and so did Integrity and Justice. "KINDNESS AND PATIENCE WATCH OUT!" I called to them. Kindness pushed his little sister out of the way and took both his and her pellet to the stomach. A bar that was mostly red with a sliver of yellow appeared above his head. "ooooo..." Kindness groaned. It seemed that Bravery also got his as well. Before we could run away, Flowey surrounded with more of the deadly pellets.

"YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS! IN THIS WORLD, IT'S KILL OR BE KILLED! WHY WOULD ANYONE PASS UP AN OPPORTUNITY LIKE THIS!" Flowey laughed like a maniac as the pellets swarmed around us, getting closer and closer. Suddenly, Kindness stood up, as well as Bravery. Their bars above thier heads suddenly became all yellow. "The yellow must be your health! Don't let it run out!" I cried towards them as a flaming ball appeared beside Flowey. He looked surprised. It knocked him into the darkness where we could no longer see him. A goat-looking lady stepped into view. Justice, Bravery and I both got ready to dodge or attack. She looked surprised.

"What a terrible creatur, torturing such poor, innocent youth. Do not be afraid, my children. I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins. I pass here every da-" Patience ran up to Toriel and hugged her.

"Wait! Lu-Patience you don't know if she's not evil or not!" Kindness shouted to his little sister, obviously worried. Justice went up to grab Patience's arm but she hid behind Toriel. Toriel giggled.  "It is okay, my children! I shall not harm you, much more the opposite actually. Follow me." Toriel explained, holding Patiemce's hand gently and leading towards a door like the one we came through, hidden in the darkness. Kindness jogged after his sister, Integrity, Justice, and Bravery followed. I looked at Perseverance for approval. He sighed and shrugged, then ran to catch up with the rest of the group. I shook my head.

"Can't believe the rumors are true..." I ran through the door.
