~Part 3- The dream and the secret~
It was a strange night. Everything was a bit blurry. It was our school, and the dance... I searched everywhere. I didn't recognise anyone. Then suddenly I saw her. She was clearer than everything else. She was the sweetest girl I ever saw, in a whitish pink dress. The mask matched it equally. But she sat in a tiny corner depressed. The girl, so looked like... me. But not in this life, she had a strange touch of the past in her face.
Then I saw him, same as described in the story, beautifully angelic. I saw them dance, I saw them leave, her search for him and then everything went fast forward. After 7 years, she came back in the same dress, everything happened as Robyn said... And soon, there was him... and a few moments later, they were dancing again. They were the sweetest thing.
Suddenly everything dissolved in a wisp. And suddenly I saw myself, about 3 years old, in the lap of grandma, she was telling me some story. I wasn't paying much attention. I was waiting for something. It was... Aden. He came rushing to me with flowers in his hands. Grandma let me go and I hugged him.
They all were the same as before, grandma, Aden, the secret princess and the angel... And me? Then I woke up to horror as I noticed what I saw. It was me dancing with the angel, who looked just like Sir! And the story, grandma was telling me the same story. I remember this, I did listen to a story like this from grandma when I was 3! What is it?
I checked the watch, maybe I should get up now, anyways as the designer in the og. I had to go a few hours early.
At 2 in the evening I was checking with the dance decorations when the principal called me. I gulped, what did I do, not the Greek God thing, right?
I entered the office of the woman, in her 50s...
'Yea, ma'am?'
'Melissa? Come in...' She said with a happy expression, but there was something, hidden behind it. Something big.
'There is something I have to tell you... They are... well, two secrets, one about me and the other about you... Which one do you select first?'
I stood there blank. I had no idea what she was talking about. She sighed and got up.
'Did you get the dress for the dance yet?'
'Nope, I mean... aren't they supposed to be choosing after the class events?'
'Hmm' she nodded, 'but I have chosen something for you...' she handed me a packet. I was too confused to refuse so I opened it. It was a beautiful white dress with shade of pink here and there... Wait!
'This dress! Its... her!' I gasped, then I looked up to her. She had a distinct look in her eyes.
'Ah, Hail told you all the details didn't she?' Hail, was my grandma.
'Okayyyy! Mrs Mimer! You are telling me this all things now? Wow!' I practically screamed for a few seconds. Well, Maybe my life is a manga I guess. Mrs Mimer told me who I was, the grand daughter of her cousin, Hail! Yikes! Mrs Mimer is my grandma too? That was the secret about me. And the secret about her. Well, the dress she showed me was the same she wore, to her ball, many years ago. And the same I saw in my dream. That is because Hail, my grandma, had told me the story of the secret princess many times, and described the dress more than that. So I exactly knew where every sequin of the dress was. And since the dress belonged to her-
'And you're the secret princess Ma'am!' I couldn't help but gasp at this sentence. She smiled.
'Will you please wear this dress for me?'
'Me?' I wasn't sure if I should. I looked at the dress. Nicely preserved over all these years, not even a single scratch. It was too good for me. Looks like she understood me-
'Well, I always wanted my daughter to wear this, but I had two sons, so I wanted it for my granddaughter, but look! I got a grandson again! And since we had this theme for the school dance... And your mother, when she told me... I was overjoyed! So I thought you would... You actually deserve this. But if you don't want to...' her voice trailed off.
'No ma'am! I mean grandma! I mean ma'am! I mean... its fine...actually no! Its too good! I will wear this, promise!' I said in a single sentence.
'Yes', she said calmly, with tears in her eyes. She hesitated, but I went on. I felt like hugging my long lost grandma, who left me at the age of 5...
Okay...I felt something big coming... Maybe I'll meet the prince from my dreams...Oh please?
