Bughead :: Aftermath {Slow Updates!}

Intro

Narrator (me) POV

It all started after college. They had just graduated and had a party at Archie and Veronica's apartment. They left, both a bit drunk, living down the corridor. They enters the small apartment and closed the door. Things got heated and soon enough they were passed out after doing ya know.. it Betty then felt off a week after and Ronnie showed up at her door with a Walgreens bag with a pregnancy test and a bag of her favorite cookies. Betty thought she was crazy, but remembered she missed her period and had been throwing up lately. Jughead insisted she see a doctor, but she refused. The Lodge girl shoved her in the bathroom and held it closed until she knew that Elizabeth Cooper had taken the test. They sat down on the couch while waiting for the test to be ready. They talked about girl stuff and the timer on Betty's phone rang. The BFF duo entered the bathroom and Betty was nervous to flip the test. Jughead was out of town at a business meeting on his new article, only to be back later that night. Betty said she wanted to flip it over with Juggie and Veronica made her vow to come over, no matter what time and how confused Archie would be, to tell her if she was pregnant with the Bughead baby. Around 10:45 at night Jughead was back. He saw Betty in their room reading a book, looking up when she saw him at the doorway. "Hi Juggie..." she greeted sounding nervous. "Hey Juliet.." Jughead smirked, sitting down next to his girlfriend. Betty decided to jump to the point. "Juggie, you know how we slept together after Ronnie and Archie's party, right? You know how I've been throwing up a lot.. Ok.. Ronnie bought me a pregnancy test and I might be pregnant with your baby." She rambled spitting out the last part fast. Jughead's eyes went wide and he saw the nervousness in her eyes and grabbed her hands and kissed them. "No matter what happens Elizabeth Cooper, I will love you with all my heart until the day I die, and continue loving you just as much as a ghost. I will go to hell and back to protect you. As much ans I blended in more with those serpents," he paused looking at the closet where his serpent jacket was neatly folded and tucked away. "I feel even more complete with the girl of my dreams by my side, possibly being the mother to my child" he chuckled. "Just know that Betts. I love you." Betty nodded and said "I love you just as much Forsythre (idk how to spell it 😂) They kisses and Betty led him to the bathroom where the test lay face down, and Betty reached out at it and counted to 3. She flipped it over and the test read 2 lines, signaling she was pregnant. She turned to Jughead and cried into his chest, and Jughead held her and smiled. He was going to be a father. Sure he was hesitant, not having the best example growing up, but he was happy. She looked up and he led her to the couch. He said that now that Alice approves of Jughead, they should tell her, and then tell Jellybean and His mom, and finally FP Jones. Then they walked to Veronica and Archie's place down the hall. Betty did he signature knock, to let them know it was her, and Ronnie yanked open the door, warning not to wake Archie. She dragged the couple in and sat them down "Now spill. Yes or No?!?" She bubbled with exitment. "Veronica Lodge, you are correct. I am indeed-" Betty was cut off with a loud squeal and Archie appeared at the door with a baseball bat "Ronnie? You okay?!" The trio on the couch laughed at Archie before he sat down and asked what was going on.  "Well.. Archie... this is for you too V, I was hoping you would be godparents!" Veronica let out another loud squeal before replying "Yes Yes Yes Yes Yessss!!!!!!!! We would love to be godparents!!" Archie just sat there silently with his mouth open. "Dude you okay?" Jughead asked his best friend. "Betty's pregnant?!" He said. Betty nodded and Archie went over gave Betty a hug and patted Jughead on the back. Bughead went back to their apartment glowing.

The next day they went to Betty's old house where they were greeted by Hal leading them inside. Alice walked in and smiled when she saw the two. They sat down and Betty started with light conversation. Then they broke the news. "Mom, Dad, Polly, I'm.. umm.."
"You're what honey?" Alice asked. "I'm pregnant!" They were surprisingly happy hugging them both and congratulating them. Betty said that Veronica was the godmother with Archie being The Godfather. Polly wasn't upset and she was going to vow to be the best aunt ever. They bid their farewells and Jughead said something "Hey betts.. can I talk to Jellybean alone? Please?" He asked. "Of course." Betty replied pecking his cheek. "Thank you Juggie. For staying by my side." He said YW (I'm lazy) and went towards his sisters apartment complex. He knocked on the door and she opened it up, eyes wide. "J-Jughead? What are you doing here?" She pulled him in and he showed his true emotions; worry and fear. "What's up?" She asked seeing his worried expression. "Betty's pregnant." " That's great Juggie! Why do you look so sad then?" Jughead replied "I don't know how to be a dad! Our father was just drunk and high all the time! I couldn't even take care of myself for a while JB! I lived underneath the school stairs for God's sake! I'm worried that's the life my kid will have! Were 20 and now we're going to be parents!! I can't give Betty the luxury life she deserves! Sure we have money but if I end up with shi-" He was cut off by his sister cupping her hand on his mouth. "Forsythre (?) Pendleton Jones the III! Are you listening to yourself?! Rambling on and on about how you can't take up that role when you did a long time ago!" She looked at his puzzled expression. "Second grade- Mom worked the night shift and couldn't bake cupcakes for my class, guess who did? You. Fifth grade- Dad had dropped me off drunk the last morning and forgot my lunch, almost got in a car accident and in a fight with the other serpents. You heard about it and woke up 2 hours early to make sure I got lunch, and walked me a mile with me on your back, to my school. Seventh grade- A boy called me a slut and a girl gave me a black eye. Who protected me and got a black and blue eye from their parents for me? You!! For gods sake Jones! You would go and went to hell and back to keep me safe when mom and dad couldn't!! You did that for me, and now you got a child you can do that for. Jughead, Betty loves you and that baby will sure as hell love you too. Did you give up on dad? No! Will you ever give up on anyone you love? No!! Jughead Jones trust me you will be the best damn father that child can have!! Got it?"  Jughead nodded and said "Thanks Jellybean. I always know I can count on you to knock some sense into me." She nodded and let him off "Now go to your girlfriend. Don't keep her waiting."
That was his sister alright. She will go out to high  measures to get her point through. He went out to the car and they phoned FP. Thay broke the news to him and he congratulated them. It turns out they will be okay after all.
