Coffee and Driving.

I needed a large cup of coffee today. Today we start tour. I had a few hours before the bus came to pick us all up. (We decided to meet up at my house.) So, I decided to go to Starbuck's and take the risk of being seen out. I swear... fans are everywhere.

I ran my hands through my re-dyed red hair for tour. It was vibrant and really cool. I really liked the red hair look on me.

As I crossed the street toward Starbuck's a fan spotted me. She squealed, jumping up and down, as her mother (I guessed) looked me over. She ran up to me and her mom followed close behind.

"Elizabeth, who is this?" Her mom questioned.

"Mom, this is Gerard, the guy from the band I always talk about!" Her mom's face immediately lit up. She suddenly turned happy to see me, I guess?

"Ah, the man who saved my kid's future. A big thanks to you Gerard." She stuck her hand out.

I'm just a man... I'm not a hero.

But, I took it and shook it. And she left Elizabeth to tell me something. Elizabeth looked at me, a tear or two falling down her teenage face. "Thank you, so much." And she gave me a questioning look, asking if she could hug me. I smiled, and nodded. "Gerard, My Chemical Romance means a lot to me. You guys are the best. Literally. Your music has helped me through a lot."

"Hey, I want you to be strong. Our music may have helped you, but really, you've helped yourself. You're the one who's done the saving. Never give up, because you've gotta lot ahead of you." I smiled my crooked smile.

"Thank you Gerard. You're seriously the best. C-can I, uh, have one more hug... and maybe a picture and autograph?" She said, holding up a finger when she asked for the hug.

"Of course," I said, as she tackled me with another hug. I let out a small laugh. I always loved meeting fans.

A couple selfies and an autograph later, Elizabeth left to enjoy her day.

I continued across the street towards Starbuck's. Walking in, it smelled like heaven. Coffee smells amazing, if you've haven't smelled it. Everybody likes the smell of coffee, even if you didn't like coffee.

I walked up to the barista and placed my order. Large black coffee and a croissant. What can you say?

I like my coffee black just like my metal.

The barista handed it to me within a few minutes and I began my walk back to my house- about a five minute walk. My phone went off with an annoying dinging sound. I looked at it and noticed Mikey calling.

I picked it up, "Yeah?" I started out with.

"Uh, where are you? We're waiting for you."

I checked the time and cursed aloud. I was talking with Elizabeth longer than I thought. "Shit. I'm sorry! I went to get coffee and ran into fans and stuff. I'll be there as soon as possible."

"No rush, no rush. Just get here soon." He said before hanging up.

I started walking faster. I don't want to make anyone mad the first day of touring.

I finally got home two minutes after Mikey called me. The bus was parked outside, and I jogged to get my stuff out of my house. I accidently ran into Frank.

"Hey, watch it!" He said, feigning anger.

I raised my eyebrows at him.

"Nah, just joking," he laughed, patting my shoulder.

It always gets awkward. Damn it.

"Yeah, okay." I said, nodding before walking past him.

Ray was sitting on my living room couch, laying his head back.

"I'm homee~" I sang. Ray shot up.

"Need help with your bags?" He asked.

"Nah. I think I got 'em." I said, smiling at him.

"Then I'm gonna get on the bus." He said, pointing his thumb towards the direction of the bus. I nodded, getting my bags gathered and carrying them to the bus. I went though a mental checklist to make sure I had everything.

Comic Books? Mhm.

Drawing paper? Yup.

Laptop? Yep.

Clothes? Definitely.

Frank? Nope.

Well, that last thing- I didn't pack.

I chuckled to myself as I got on the bus and put my bags on my bunk.

Ah, shit. My coffee.

"Hold on!" I told the person who'd be driving the bus, walking back in my house, grabbing the coffee and the croissants and my lyric book. I locked my doors as well. Quickly making my way back on the bus, I shook my head, and we began to drive down the road.

I sat in the main room with the couches and stuff on twitter, reading people's tweets and mentions of me. Some of them were creepy, some of them were cool, and some of them were awesome. Taking a sip of my coffee and retweeting some random stuff I found in my newsfeed, Ray sat down next to me.

"What's up, Gee?" He asked.

"Being bored, tweeting stuff." I replied back.

He shook his head back and forth, his fro shaking along the movement. Then a short laugh came afterwards. "You're gonna win an award for tweeting one day. I know it."

I laughed after that. I hope I didn't. My tweets weren't that impressive.

I finished my coffee, and threw it away. Standing up, I stretched and looked at Ray. "I'm gonna go draw or take a nap, or something. I'll see you later." I said, going back to my bunk.

Today is going to be boring. We're on the road all day long.

I sighed, getting in my bunk and deciding to just sleep. It's gonna take a while to get to sleep though, because of the coffee. So, I just listened to Iron Maiden through my "Shut the fuck ups" and slowly, but surely, fell asleep.
