ASHLEYS POV
I stayed in the bathroom for the rest of the period, letting myself calm down. By the time the bell rang for class to end, I wasn't in tears anymore.
I took a deep breath, knowing I'd have to go back into the classroom to get my bag. I looked into the mirror, seeing I had a bit of mascara under my eyes and my hair was a bit messy.
I headed out of the bathroom and towards Luke's class. I looked in before I entered. The class was empty except for Luke, so a bit of bravery rushed through me. I walked in the class, shutting the door behind me. His head popped up when he heard the door close, and a bit of a smile flashed on his face.
"Luke, what the fuck are you doing here? How are you working here!?" I yelled. He got up out of his seat and walked towards me slowly.
"Ash please quite down," He hushed.
"Just why are you here?! You knew I lived out here!"
"Well I got offered a job out here, so I took it."
"How did it not go through your mind to text to make sure I didn't go to this school!" I raised my voice a bit.
"Ashley, I wasn't thinking about us and what happened with us when I accepted, I was thinking about my career."
"God luke, just , I don't know what to say!" I yelled, causing him to put his finger over his lip to hint for my to lower my volume.
"Ash I promise I'll try to stay out of your way, okay?"
"You better." I said through gritted teeth, grabbing my bag and walking out of the room.

LUKES POV
Fuck fuck fuck! Why is she reacting like this? I really thought she missed me too. To be fully honest, I knew she went to school here due to her Instagram. When I got a call to work here I immediately accepted, not really having a plan. I had to find an apartment, break the news to my friends that was moving, leave my family behind (only bringing my dog with me), and drive all the way here from Maine.
I thought that her reaction would be better, or at least a little nicer. But, I probably deserve it. I freaked out at the thought of her moving and drank too much at a party. I woke up still a little drunk next to a girl whose name I didn't even know. I cheated so I do deserve this treatment.
When Ashley left my classroom I was heartbroken. I wanted to at least give her a hug, tell her I was sorry. Now I'm left with having to figure out how to do that. I could hold her after class tomorrow? No that wouldn't work. I could ask the office to make her my class aid? No she'd decline. I pondered what I could do and was stuck answerless
