The day after the wedding, Lexa wished to go back to Polis for her people. Clarke and Raven went with her. Clarke didn't see Bellamy before she went. She wished she said goodbye after the night they spent together.
Walking in the woods, Raven and Lexa were right next to eachother laughing and giggling. It made Clarke happy to see them together like that.
As they were walking an Azgeda warrior came out between the trees infront of them. Lexa pushed raven behind her. Lexa pulled out her sword and started fighting him. Clarke brought Raven behind her. As the warrior was about to stab Lexa, Clarke kicked his shin. Lexa than drew her blade threw his head.
"Good job." Clarke panted. Lexa nodded, putting her sword back in its pocket. Raven ran to Lexa checking if she was ok. "Raven, we should stay at Arcadia." Raven turned disgustingly. "It's not safe going back and fourth." Raven turned to Lexa, wimpering.
"Unless." Lexa smiled. Clarke was confused. "What if my people and Arcadia join together. Live as one." Raven smiled.
"The ark is falling apart." Clarke thought. "I have to check with Kane."
"I am going to tell my people. It would be a pleasure for you all to live in Polis." Lexas smile was bright, so was Ravens. "Some of you would live in my tower, your like royalty to me." She reached Ravens hand.
"Thank you. I appreciate it." Clarke nodded. "We need to get home." She looked at Raven.
Raven nodded. "I hope to see Polis soon." She smiled at Lexa. Lexa nodded. Raven and Clarke walked back to Arcadia, and Lexa went back to Polis.
Kane and Abby were sitting in the main room, along with some other people spread out. Raven and Clarke walked in. They sat across from Kane and Abby. Clarke was about to talk before Bellamy came in. A guy named Murphy was with him.
Bellamy jogged to Clarke. He smiled. "Hey." He smirked. Murphy was behind him.
"Hey." Clark said fast. "Sit down I have plans to talk about with Kane." Bellamy sat down. Murphy stood behind him listening.
"The ark is not doing good." Clarke began. "Power is out, there are holes in the ceilings, broken glass everywhere." Kane was getting mad. "Anyways, Lexa reached out and invited us to live Polis, with her people. It would be easier to survive." Clarke smiled. Kane and Abby had a slight smile.
"Grounders?" Murphy barged in. Raven rolled her eyes. "You want us to live with killers." Bellamy looked down. Abby and Kane were confused. "Oh." Murphy said sarcastically. "Did anyone tell you that they killed Finn. Their leader killed him infront of the whole town and I bet everyone cheered."
Bellamy and Clarke yelled Murphy's name. Raven pushed out her chair and pushed Murphy against a wall. "Do not talk about Finn." Raven yelled in his face. She started to choke him.
"Raven! Stop!" Clarke grabbed Raven away from Murphy. The two girls fell on the floor. Kane stood up. "It was only because Finn had killed on of their warriors." Clarke begged Kane. "It was our peace treaty. Please." Clarkes eyes filled with tears.
"Abby get the boy to a medic." Kane pointed to Murphy who was choking. "We move tomorrow." Kane walked out of the room. Clarke was still on the ground. Bellamy went to her.
"Hey." He whispered holding her face in his hands. She sobbed. He pulled her into his arms. "We do what's best for our people."
Raven watched Clarke and Bellamy. "Clarke." Ravens eyes filled with tears. "I'm sorry, he was talking about Finn like he was useless." Clarke released Bellamys hug.
"I know." It was like Clarke had no life in her to say it. Raven got up and walked to her room. Bellamy held Clarkes hand as the two were on floor. "You should go check on Murphy."
Abby walked in. "May I have a moment with my daughter?" She looked at Bellamy. He let go of Clarke.
"I was just leaving." He got up and walked to the med room. Abby walked to Clarke and sat down next to her.
"So Finn Collins was murdered by grounders?" Abby stared at Clarke.
Clarke looked at her mother. "He was our peace."
"Sacrificing someone's life is not peace. It's revenge." Abby snapped.
"Not if I let him die." Clarke slowly said. Abby turned to her like she saw a ghost. "I had the choice right then and there to save him, but I didn't." Clarke yelled. "So call me the monster!" A tear ran down Abby's face. There was a moment of silence. "Welcome to earth." Clarke stood up and walked away.
For two days Clarke stayed away from everyone. Raven left to Polis. Arcadians were packing to move to Polis. Clarke went in the open. The main room was crowded with people carrying their belongings. There she saw Bellamy in the crowd helping. The second he saw her, he ran to her lifting her off the ground spinning around. "Princess is back." He wiped the hair out of her face. She laughed.
It was a days trip to Polis, but everyone made it. Lexa greeted everyone. She hugged Clarke. "I haven't seen you in awhile."
Clarke smiled at her. Clarke noticed a watch on Lexas wrist. "Where did you get that?" Before Lexa could reply, Raven came out with her hair in a side braid, like how Lexa wore hers one day. "Never mind." Raven laughed.
Everyone settled in Polis. In Lexas tower, Clarke , Bellamy and Raven all got separate rooms. Kane and Abby had their own rooms and Octavia and Lincoln wished to live in the woods. Clarke looked out her window, she saw the whole village. It was in a valley between hills. She noticed the hill where she and Bellamy witnessed Finns death. It all replayed in her head. She could never get over that if it happened to Bellamy.
Bellamy knocked on her door and entered. She frowned. "What's up?" He said kissing her on the forehead and holding her hands.
"Bellamy." She said with tears streaming down her face. He looked concerned. "I want us to be more separate." She took her hands away from his. "I don't think it's safe for us to be together."
"But." Bellamy tried to not cry, but it was hard. "Clarke, you mean so much to me."
"And so do you, but I can't risk anything bad happening to you when your with me. I don't want to be attached to someone I might loose." Clarke sobbed. Bellamy stared at her. His eyes were filled with tears, which made Clarke cry even more. "Go."
Bellamy turned around and left her room. Clarke lost a feeling she hadn't had in a long time. Hope. She thought this decision protected them both, but in the end it didn't even matter.
