Chaeyeon was sitting beside her mother as she held onto her hand, while Yoongi was leaning against the couch, waiting for Aunt Jiyoung to come. While they were waiting, the door flew opened as both Yoongi and Chaeyeon stood up. Jungkook came walking in as Chaeyeon held her expression blank.
"Jungkook. What are you doing here? I told you to go back." - Yoongi
"I want answers." - Jungkook
Jungkook said with a stern expression while eyeing Chaeyeon.
"There's nothing here for you to hear." - Chaeyeon
"Oh yeah. Then why did I just found out that you're the daughter of Min Sejun? Can you explain that?" - Jungkook
Chaeyeon suddenly felt worried as Yoongi's expression went worried as well. There was a brief silence before Chaeyeon speaks.
"That - doesn't concern you." - Chaeyeon
Jungkook arched his eyebrows.
"Of course it does, Chaeyeon. You were my fiance." - Jungkook
"Were Jungkook. Were. So that means it doesn't concern you anymore." - Chaeyeon
Jungkook scoffed.
"You lied to me." - Jungkook
"I didn't lie to you, Jungkook. It was the truth." - Chaeyeon
Jungkook shook his head.
"My high status name didn't matter anyways because my parents got divorced. What's there to tell you?" - Chaeyeon
"You could've at least told me who your father was. You could've at least told me that you were part of the high status class." - Jungkook
Chaeyeon averted her eyes as Yoongi witness the intense scene.
"Jungkook." - Yoongi
Jungkook looked away from Chaeyeon and to Yoongi.
"It's not easy for someone to tell you who they were before when they don't even accept themselves for who they were. Chaeyeon had some bad experiences due to having the high status name." - Yoongi
Jungkook was confused at Yoongi's words.
"What are you talking about?" - Jungkook
"Right after when her parents divorced, her and her mother went through a lot of stuff. They were being looked down for who they were and they were being sexually abused, especially Chaeyeon." - Yoongi
Jungkook then looked at Chaeyeon as she kept her head down.
"Chaeyeon didn't want to be reminded as a high status person." - Yoongi
Jungkook heard Chaeyeon sniffed as he saw her wiping her tears away.
"Chaeyeon." - Jungkook
Jungkook whispers her name as she completely turned her back facing him.
"Don't let me see you again, Jungkook. Please." - Chaeyeon
Tears trekked down Jungkook's face as he stops midway from going to her.
"If you really love me, you would let me go and marry RyuJin." - Chaeyeon
Jungkook was in awe as he heard her words.
"You really want me to give up on us and marry someone that I don't love?" - Jungkook
Chaeyeon sealed her lips into thin line as more tears trekked down from her eyes as her lips trembles from quiet sobs. After calming down, she finally had the courage to speak.
