[Chapter 24]

Everyone gasps as they turned their heads to Mrs. Shin, while Jungkook and Chaeyeon were both surprised to see her on their wedding day. Aunt Jiyoung and Sejun quickly ran to the stage and stood next to Yoongi.

The crowd made way as Mrs. Shin walks over to where Jungkook and Chaeyeon stands. The more Mrs. Shin gets closer to them, the more Jungkook stands in front of Chaeyeon for protection. RyuJin also walks out from the crowd and stood in front of her own shameful mother.

"What are you doing here?" - RyuJin

Mrs. Shin averted her eyes to her own daughter.

"What do you think? I'm here to congratulate them." - Mrs. Shin

"We don't need your blessing, Mrs. Shin. You should leave before I call the securities to come and drag you away." - Jungkook

Mrs. Shin then started laughing like a crazy person.

The crowd was starting to worry about the scene when suddenly she brought out a gun and pointed at Chaeyeon as Jungkook quickly got in front of her, while everyone bends down onto the ground, panicking. RyuJin then stood back up from the ground and tried to calm her down.

"Mom. Put the gun down." - RyuJin

"Why? Why do I have to spare her life when she doesn't even deserve to live?!" - Mrs. Shin

"Think about what you're doing, Mrs. Shin. If you pull that trigger, that one small mistake will ruin your life even more. Right now, you still have the chance to fix your life. If you pull that trigger, there's no chance for you to go back and fix it." - Yoongi

Tears streamed down Mrs. Shin's face as Yoongi's words slowly got into her head. RyuJin saw how her mother is fighting herself as she slowly walks up closer to her.

"Mom." - RyuJin

Mrs. Shin then looks up at her.

"You still have a chance to redeem yourself. You still have a chance to correct your sins. To correct yourself to become a better person. Don't let your anger and jealousy ruin your reputation even more." - RyuJin

When RyuJin was about to grab the gun, Mrs. Shin then screamed as she points the gun at RyuJin while she slowly backs away.

"My life is already ruined! What is there for me?!" - Mrs. Shin

Mrs. Shin then heavily breathes.

"Even if I can still fix my life, the society will always remember me as a worthless piece of sh*t yearning for money!" - Mrs. Shin

RyuJin then shook her head in denial as Mrs. Shin's attention were back on Jungkook and Chaeyeon.

"And it all started from her." - Mrs. Shin

Mrs. Shin then points the gun to Jungkook where he closely stands in front of Chaeyeon.

"How are you so sure that I'll let you hurt her? If I'm still alive, you can't hurt her." - Jungkook

Chaeyeon then looks up at him from behind as Mrs. Shin smirks.

"Well then, I guess I have no choice." - Mrs. Shin

Before Mrs. Shin could pull the trigger, RyuJin quickly grab hold onto the gun and brought it up as the trigger was being pulled, a loud gunshot was being fired as the guests was screaming in fear.

Jungkook and Chaeyeon and the rest of the people that was standing on the stage quickly went down onto the ground when the gunshot was being fired. Everyone then looked up only to see RyuJin and Mrs. Shin fighting over for the gun.
