"LINK" zelda screamed as she ran towards him to catch him. Everything went in slow motion. From zelda screaming, to links head quietly falling into her arms. All the while, link is the only one able to hear the distant song. The song of healing. But, backwards. And distorted. Links eyes close, as the distorted madness becomes his new luluby. He lays in zeldas arms. unable to hear her, begging for him to wake up. The tune luling him to a dream like state. He slowly opens his eyes..... Something. Isnt. Right. As zelda looked into his eyes, She didnt see the familiar, loveing, bright river blue eyes that belonged to link. Instead, the eyes she saw were deep, madness filled, red ones.. They glowed in the darkened stable. His skin grew slightly paler. Not white, but not the usual lightly sun tanned skin. It was.... Scary. Zelda backed away slightly as link slowly rose to his feet. He stared into the window. As if there was something there. There.... There was nothing zelda could see. She moved to the side to get a better view of the window, but link snapped his head around to face her. "Hello m'lady." He said with a voice that clearly didn't belong to him. "How are you this fine morning?" He asked with a smirk. "y-your..... your n-n-not link...." She whispered in reply. Link gave a dramatic look, as if he was shocked. "Well excuuuuuse me PRINCESS!" He said, shouting at the end and taking a step closer to zelda. "IS THE FACT THAT I'M ACTING A BIT DIFFERENT MEANING I CANT BE THE SAME PERSON?!?!" He yelled. His voice growing louder and louder with each word. Zelda was shaking in fear as she backed against a wall. 'whoever this is, he isn't link.' She thought to herself. Link took another step forward as the color drained from his hair. The lemon blond fading to an off white. "link. Please... Your.... Your scaring me....." She said with her voice quivering as tears pricked her eyes. "Oh no. I'm scaring the sweet little angle. Oh noooooooo." He said in a mocking tone. This only brought more tears to her eyes. Link saw this. "Z-zelda? Wait. Y-y-your.... your......" He couldn't get the words out of his throught. He couldn't believe he had done this to her. His best friend. His ONLY friend. Zelda saw his eyes fading between red and blue. As if he couldn't decide if he was brave enough to be in control. Zelda stood up and hugged link, as his eyes faded to ones of blue sadness. His hair faded back to the sweet lemon blond. And his skin went back to the healthy tan it once was. Before he even knew what happened, he was tightly hugging Zelda, and was on his knees, crying into her shoulder. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." He repeated over and over. Zelda noded in understanding. "Its okay link. Its okay." After a few minuets, they had both calmed down. "link?" Link noded. "How about we go for that ride we were talking about?" She asked with a smile. Link smiled back and noded. Now that he had calmed down, he returned to being silent. They got up. Smiled, and got the horses ready.
