Distant Friends

Plans change

I walk into Matt's room and sit my bag down in its usual spot. I tried to put my day behind me and to make his better.

   "Matt, what are you doing?" he is wearing a hat side ways walking funny.

"I'm a pimp" he cooes

"noo STOP.. " I'm laughing so hard I can't breath.

He struts around his room walking like a 'pimp'. He has a big goofy grin on his beautiful face. A piece of his brown hair falls in front of his eyes. I could get lost in his sea of blue eyes.

We are staring into each other's eyes, and he starts walking closer until he is right in front of me.

"Terra, can we talk?" he looks nervous

"sure " I motion to the couch for him to sit next to me.

He sits next to me and I roll on my back and put my head on his legs. My legs hanging off the couch. Its comfy.

"what's up bud" I poke his cheek to get his attention.

He looks down at me with a small smile.  I smile back.

"I was thinking... " he started

"that's never a good thing" I reach my arms up and flip his hat backwards.

"wow" he chuckles "I like you"

I froze with my arms laying upon my stomach.

"w-what"

"I. Like. You." he repeats

His eyes full of worry.

"real funny" I giggle. There is NO way he actually likes me like that. My heart is almost beating out of my chest.

"No Terra." he looks at me sincerely. "I really do like you. I didn't want to tell you because I don't want to ruin our friendship But, I like you."

"Matt I.. "

He closes and opens his eyes slowly putting his hand on my shoulders. Pulling me up slowly. I close my eyes and put my hand behind his neck. Our lips connect. Fire. It feels like fire burning through. My body. I disconnected our lips and sat up. Moving to sit in his lap. Screw the deal. I kiss him again. Winding my hands in his hair. Him holding my waist. God this kiss.

We both stop to catch our breaths.

"what do you want us to be Terra" he asks looking at me with such lust.

"I want us to be.... Together. As, more than friends. "

His smile gets big and his eyes brighten.

"well with that answer. Will you be my girlfriend?" he kisses my cheek. Shock waves flow through my body.

"of course" I continue "you know you changed my plans drastically."

"what do you mean" he kisses my fore head.

"I wanted to die tonight. But, I'm not so sure anymore."

He tightened his grip around me pulling my head into his chest.

"oh my god T. You're so much more than you see yourself to be.  You're beautiful, funny, sweet, caring. You care so much and you take in everyone's problems and try and fix them.  Your family is just dragging you down. I'm not gonna let that happen anymore. Baby girl"
