Annalise could remember the faint memory of a dream had once when she was a young child. It brought nightmare after nightmare to come the first time she had it. She was terrified of simply being in a room all alone, with no one to protect her.

She faintly remembers her constantly running in that dream, away from something or someone. She didn't know what but she felt it. The fear. It was all she could feel. For months after her nightmare occurred it didn't go away.

She remembers her sister would stay up all night just for Annalise to get some sleep. Every time Annalise would wake up in the middle of the night crying and screaming, Silvia was there to comfort her. She would always tell Annalise she was there to fend away the monsters.

And she was right. Silvia was the one that saved her that night and Annalise couldn't have been more thankful for her sister. If Annalise had the choice to save her sister and risk her life, she frankly would have no idea what she would have done.

Fear is a unexpected feeling. You react to it differently every time you encounter the feeling. Your brain can't comprehend the right thing to respond with, so it immediately goes to fight or plight. Depending on what kind of person you were.

Annalise was the type to run away from her problems. So that's what she did ... she ran. She didn't know how she found herself back in those woods again, but dread completely consumed her body as she couldn't see anymore light from any direction.

The darkness never terrified her before, instead it attracted her to it. She was always looking for some sort of safe haven, and that was the night. But, for the first time she was petrified of the eerie darkness that consumed everything around her. Because she didn't know what was watching her at that moment, and nor did she want to know.

Picking up her dress she began to walk quietly putting her senses on full dial. Every single snap of a branch or chirp of an animal made her flinch. She thought of something following her, making her blood run cold.

Annalise then realized her feet were bare as the adrenaline rush was beginning to fade. Her feet began to ache horribly and could feel cuts that were covering them. Every step she took made her bite her lip to not let out small cry's of pain, but it was no use.

"Are you hurt?"

Annalise let out a small scream, falling onto her butt as a voice spoke from behind her. Turning around she began to back up, but stopped when she saw no one there. She could hear her heart beating abnormally, her breathing beginning to come uneven.

"L-leave me alone, whoever you are!" She spoke trying to feign confidence but failed miserably. The sound of wings flapping behind her made her flinch, twisting her whole body around into a standing position.
