Chapter 10: Thank you Scotty

"Courtney?"

I gasped and jumped. I turn around to see Scott standing there with worry on his face.

"Jesus Scotty! you scared me." I say while turning back around to sit. I hear him walk over to sit beside me.

"Why are you crying?" He asks.

"Im not, something got caught in my eye. It must have been some of the sand." I explain trying to make an excuse hoping it will work. But by the look on his face it doesnt look like hes buying it. 

"Court, im not stupid. I may not be good at baseball but I am smart. So please tell me why your so upset?" he begged. I couldnt say no to him, he's just so nice and caring. So I began to tell him everything. I told him about Tom and what he use to do to me and about the date with Phillips and how I betrayed Benny then ran away back to Tom. I dont know how much of that he understood though because of how much I was sobbing but it felt like the world was lifted off my chest when I let it all out.

"Oh Courtney." He put his hand on my back and started rubbing in circles trying to calm me.

"I know I know... I messed up so bad." I sobbed 

"Just go talk to Benny ok, I bet he will understand."He insisted. I began to shake my head, I couldnt. 

"How could I face him again Scotty?" I looked him in the eyes pleading.

"Court, this is Benny we are talking about. He's the nicest person either of us have ever met, no matter what he will always be there for you. Your are an amazing person, so dont let Tom or Phillips or even Benny get in the way of that. Just talk to him, both of them. They will forgive you and no matter what happens all of us guys will always be with you." He explained. I stood up and gave him a big hug, he hugged me back with a smile on his face. I pull away and look at him.

"Thank you Scotty." I give him another hug before running off to find the one person that matters the most to me at this moment.
